If they don't believe you have them contact me, [email protected].
They've probably done a gazillion SSSC contacts over the years. There's nothing in writing from Ford to the dealers saying we can do this, just thought I'd give it a shot and it worked. This isn't a work around or illegal, just the normal process we use everyday for situations involving non standard recall handling. Some vehicles were removed from the recall prior to shipping, I think the ones with clips and supplement were ones that fell in documentation gap, just plain missed or Ford is behind getting them removed. If we just waited for Ford to release the full bulletin, the process for removing a vehicle due to parts already installed is the exact same, SSSC.

Seriously, every dealer should be checking these and if the stuff is there, doing the SSSC contact so they can sell the damn things and get them off the lot.

Truly, thank you for the offer. But you should be holding the 12 pack I owe you, or my dealer owes you because they were thankful I showed them. Looks to be all clear now and I will pick it up Friday.

Mine is one that has been sitting at the dealership for 2 weeks without the clips installed when it arrived. NHTSA website was saying “Recall Incomplete, remedy not yet available” now says “recall incomplete”. Hoping this is a good sign that the clips will be sent out soon before Q4 for all of us that don’t have the them installed and are waiting for delivery

My vin is now clear
Well, I'll be damned. Mine is now clear too! YEAH!!!

So ... I bet my Bronco has been sitting at Granger (for a few weeks) and has been good all along. My production date was April 11, which would have been subject to the recall, but Ford didn't actually finish the build until May 31 (something was missing) and put it on a train around June 13. They would have had time to implement the seat belt fix that is currently in production Broncos. WHAT a f'ing roller coaster. Buying a truck just shouldn't be so hard.

Mine arrives to Granger next week and I’ve been emailing Samantha. Did they get back to you yet that you are clear to buy it now? Mine is clear too and I need to sell my current Bronco quickly.

I sent Samantha an email last night with a screen shot of the cleared recall. I hope to hear back shortly so I can fly in and pick it up. I'm not sure they've done PDI on it yet though. But .... there's no time to waste. Who knows what utter stupidity remains up Ford's sleeve. Gotta get that thing out of Ford's hands fast before the next shoe drops.

Got my recall notice in the mail yesterday and I'm gonna refuse to have this one done just on the grounds of how stupid it is 🙄
Safety Risk FIRST ROW OCCUPANTS MAY EXPERIENCE DISSATISFACTION OR BE DISCOURAGED IF THEY ARE UNABLE TO EASILY ACCESS THE SEAT BELT LATCH PLATE IN ITS STOWED POSITION. DRIVING WITHOUT THE USE OF A SEATBELT INCREASES THE RISK OF INJURY IN A CRASH.

I dunno pretty sure this will happen with or without the "fix" . They should add a warning label on the visors... :p:p

Full bulletin is out. Dealers will receive parts based on in-stock units. If it's a retail order waiting for the parts the dealer will need to generate a repair order or a signed sales contract to order the parts for new held units from SSSC. It does NOT list a date when parts will begin shipping either for held, stock or sold units.

Here's the supplement for those that need bathroom reading material.

Me too. Every time I see this or hear of this "recall" I just shake my head and think Wow - WTF? What's next? What if I were too short and fat to reach the pedals? Are they gonna put retractable pedals in? The people that started this recall should be shot.

Confirming parts for in stock/sold units are arriving at dealers. Did two yesterday and had to wait for the parts to price in the system which apparently happened overnight. Finalized the claims this morning so two more should have recalls purged today sometime.

What are the part numbers? Do they still have to go through the sssc process for the retail units or is it normal process now?

I think to get them for non stock (grounded) units, they still have to open an RO and order through SSSC. At some point they will lift the restrictions and allow normal ordering through normal channels. They're prioritizing stock and held retail units first. The Detroit warehouse is only showing 1,050 in stock and has an order restriction code.

The two that came in had VINs on the package. Part number is MB3Z-99610A94-AA, requires 2 per vehicle along with printing out the seat belt supplement and putting in glove box.
