This is new! Just got recall notice for my 22 Badlands as well. Too bad I've already preemptively replaced with 6100s.

To answer your question: Completely safe to drive. May just get a little bumpy if/when the resi falls of.

Thank you for posting. This is the first time I have seen this issue addressed with a recall. This is good news, though perhaps not for those who have already experienced this issue. For those like me, who can expect in due course to experience this issue, hopefully they will last until they can be replaced. The delay until Q3 '25 is a bit much, though I do realize that they will need to build up an inventory of replacement shocks, but at least they have acknowledged the problem.

1. Does recall cover take-off shocks ?
2. Does it mean no new 23/34 bronco with SAS can be sold until at least half a year later?

Logged into my ford account and sure enough, mine’s covered by the recall. Was all excited until I realized it only covers the rear shock, not all four. At 52k miles, I’ll still probably proceed with Bilstein 6112‘s all around.

Replacing the current shocks with the same shocks - Garbage In; Garbage Out.

With the Stop Sale on any Badlands or Sasquatch optioned model and the parts not being available until 3rd quarter, dealers have to be pumped selling stripper Big Bend and OBXs.

There were rumors for a while they were under redesign and the recall cutoff is start of 2024 Job 2 so they have the new version.

So all the unsold 2024s with SAS package will just have to sit on lots until parts are available in quarter 3 of 2025?

All with HOSS 2 suspension built prior to 7/23/24, correct.
