1. Does recall cover shocks that are already been taken off?
2. Does it mean no new 23/34 bronco with SAD can be sold until at least half year later?
1. No. They need to be installed on the vehicle.
2. Dealers cannot sell any affected vehicles until repaired.

So, technically, we are supposed to park our vehicles and not drive them till quarter 3
Technically if a lawyer could prove you received notice that a part could fall off of your vehicle and in fact it did. And hurt someone you could be held liable. I’m not a legal expert. But it seems possible.
If you follow my past hose clamp advice. It may show you took measures to correct the defect and clear you of any wrong doing. Maybe.

A little late to the game Ford is as MANY of us have already replaced those garbage shocks years ago. Maybe we'll get cash back instead 🤣

I didn't get a notice in the mail yet. I live in FL, no road salt and I have very low miles 13K on my 22 so will get it done at the next service visit- if they have the shocks, that is.........
Was gonna replace them at some point with the 6100's but this may delay that now.

Q3 release is what that said which lately means Q4 if you're lucky, you might see them next winter lol.

Are they replacing all the shocks or just the ones that show rust?

Nevermind - I take it they are replacing all the rear shocks, regardless of rust, since they're also replacing the ones still sitting on dealer lots.

I'm pretty happy about this, because while the 6100s are nicer shocks, I really don't want to change the height of my non-SAS Badlands.

Replacing the current shocks with the same shocks - Garbage In; Garbage Out.

With the Stop Sale on any Badlands or Sasquatch optioned model and the parts not being available until 3rd quarter, dealers have to be pumped selling stripper Big Bend and OBXs.
In a perfect world, while the dealer has my Badlands up on the rack, I could pay the overage to just upgrade to the FOX 2.5 set up with new coils. I know this isn’t likely, but I don’t want another set of these particular Bilstiens; if a true upgrade, I’d give them a try, but it’s time for some new shocks.

No, my reservoirs have not fallen off, but they are rusted and could at any moment with the wheeling I do.

Logged into my ford account and sure enough, mine’s covered by the recall. Was all excited until I realized it only covers the rear shock, not all four. At 52k miles, I’ll still probably proceed with Bilstein 6112‘s all around.
Has anybody's front reservoirs fallen off? I don't think I've seen that yet, but not sure.

All rear HOSS 2 shocks are subject to the Safety Recall regardless of condition

Yikes, I was actually just about to start shopping for a Sas Badlands in the next few months, this is going to be a real big challenge to get what I want if they aren’t completing the repairs until Q3.
