I would like to replace the transmission oil in my 7MT with Red Line Oil's gear oil. Their website recommends the MT-LV 70W/75W GL-4 GEAR OIL -- has anyone else tried this out yet? I have had fantastic results using Red Line Oils in prior transmissions, and my Bronco's 7MT feels kinda dry/notchy.

If you've replaced your 7MT with this stuff or another Red Line Oil product, I'd love to hear your feedback.

Thanks!

Watching this thread. I have used RedLine gearbox/transmission fluid and motor oil in my motorcycle since 2003......fantastic stuff!! Curious what others respond with on this inquiry.

I'll change mine further down the road, but when I do it will be Redline MT oil. I've been very pleased with it in my Tacoma 5spd. I'll most likely go with MT 85 or 90 instead of the LV as my coldest mornings are 20s and 30s.

I just flushed out the fluid at ~1700 miles. The redline MT-LV definately feels better when shifting! That subtle grindyness when shifting now feels like a a positive bump when going into gear. I'm happy I made the switch.

For what its worth, it was a very easy procedure. Nothing interfered with the job, just a straight drain then fill situation. took about 40 minutes including cleanup -- Nice!
