Second time I’m seeing this today. Saw posted on FB these are the replacements to alleviate the whistling. But, what on earth would those little wings provide? Kind of an eyesore, no?

They are there to change the way the air flows across the edge of the mirror.

This thread talks about tsb last year for whistle. For the record my 22 without the lines does not whistle.

"Eyesore" might be a little extreme. They are tiny and black on black. I am willing to bet 90% of those on this enthusiast forum have never noticed if they have these or not. I know I never noticed.

Yep....never noticed them and they are on my 2022 June build. No whistling either.

Mine doesn’t have the stripes and I’ve never noticed whistling. I thought they chalked that up to certain grilles?

I test drove a ‘21 mannequin, a 2 door Big Bend w/Sasquatch. I noticed the whistling and it was annoying. I’m glad I’m getting a Bronco with the mirror fixes.

I haven’t received my Bronco yet but my “baby picture” looks like it has them.

When I explain to my wife that between MY 21 and MY22 we loose the digital temperature readouts on the A/C knobs but gain vortex generators on the side mirrors she will look at me funny and tell me to spend less time on Bronco 6G.
