Coming from someone who’s always had a hood prop. They function pretty well, will make it slightly easier when airing up the tires. You open the hood just a little to get it started, then it flys right up
Install tip: if your included hood bolt isn’t getting tighter as you twist it, there is too much play at its full tightness. a second 5/16” flat washer to act as a spacer will fix it.
PSA: this will open the hood about 2-3” higher than with the stock hood prop. Honestly don’t see the positive for this but you’ll find this inconvenient if you’re a shorty like me. I’m 5’11” and need to tip toe just to grab the latch now. Before, I could grab the top of the hood with ease. I’m also running a 3” lift on 37s so that could contribute to it.
