Remind me.. what's the last date for 21 VINs?

Do we know the date (or close proximity) that draws a line in the sand for the possibility of getting a VIN for this year?

Basically, if we don't get an VIN email by __/__/2021, we have no real chance of still getting a 2021.

That's kind of what I was thinking... Thought I read they do no more than 60 days out. Somewhere there was a supposed date when they were going to switch to 2022 models so maybe 60 days before that.

I just need something to sink my teeth into for my sanity. I don't want to go buy a "in the meantime" vehicle and then get a Vin the Following week!

So, depending on your reservation date, I think if you don’t have a VIN before the 2022 order banks open in early September, you’re probably better off converting your 2021 order to a 2022 order.

We have to convert to a 2022? Has there ever been any explanation of this? They dont just keep the same build but call it a 2022? Do we still maintain our timestamps?

Theoretically timestamps remain a very loosely important thing , but somewhere I read the orders have to be re-entered as 2022 orders in the system even if they are the same build.

MY22 change over is 13 DEC 21. They will shut down MAP the week prior to conduct the change over. And start production the 13th.

Shut it down? For what? So someone can make the change in the PDF Manual from MY 21 to MY 22?

I spoke to a bronco specialist on the customer support line last week after a long argument with my dealer over this situation… ultimately the guy told me that if I leave my order alone and it doesn’t get selected for a 2021 build by the time MY22 production starts, then it will automatically switch over to a 2022 build with the same specs. Interesting because my dealer (who I think was just trying to lie to me to get me to 99 my order so he can take my allocation for a dealer stock unit and mark it up 10-15K over MSRP) told me that if I don’t “switch” it to a 2022 build that it would end up getting purged from Ford’s system and I would no longer have a reservation or order at all… I called BS on that and he wasn’t too happy about it

Shut it down? For what? So someone can make the change in the PDF Manual from MY 21 to MY 22?

We have known changes for 2022 they have to get ready for. Paint colors, MT with Sasquatch, etc. There was even talk about some different top configuration to allow roof rails with four-door Sasquatch (not sure if that os still on)

Point being, there will absolutely be differences with a 2022.... To what extent, we don't know yet.

So if they are shutting down a week before (Dec 6th) and say we go 45 days before that, it puts us at Oct 22nd (which is a Friday).

So I wonder if thats the cut off? Basically If you don't get a VIN by October 22nd, you are not going to see a Bronco in your driveway in the year 2021?

That's 107 days from now.... Oh that sucks! Thats like 15 more disappointing Thursdays

The last day to order one for MY21 was 05FEB1887. If you didn’t email Ford by then then you are automatically into at least MY2034.
