I recall hearing manufacturers are required to have the tire covered. That would make sense why ford has these as the tire options all pretty much extend out from the sheet metal except the base model. Once you take delivery, there is nothing to stop an owner from removing these correct?

All indications are that you'll be able to take them off in less than a minute each. Which is pretty sweet.

But the pics in the thread showing the bare body on the assembly line also show a ton of holes along the edge...So you'll need some blanks or something to put on there or it'll look like shit.

Would be cool if someone could Photoshop some pics with those removed

There will be multiple options with aftermarket fender flares to replace the factory if you want bigger or smaller or remove them altogether if you don't mind the holes.

Absolutely nothing stopping you from removing them. If you'd like to drive your bronco on roads however, your local /state laws will probably have you getting pulled over soon after.

Most states don't jack with you over stuff like that. Around here if they pulled people over for tires out of the wheelwell they'd be working overtime just doing that. Wouldn't be surprised if some states do make issues though.

They do have an aftermarket flare delete kit to cover the holes. The tire poke is illegal in Pennsylvania for sure.

Where did you find a 15 month old thread to resurrect?

This is exactly what I was thinking! I was wondering why I was even reading about removable fender flares.
