I had AMP power steps on my previous truck and loved them, as they were much more functional than the OEM step I had. You're going to love them, just keep the hinges/gears clean and a can of silicone spray in the truck. I would clean blast off dirt/etc off with water then hit them up with the silicone every few months or so. Had them on my truck for 3 years with no issues. I'd put them on my Bronco, but I'm trying to keep it as simple as possible.

I guess I am just trying to figure out what that harness is for. I assume it is telling the steps when a door is open and when to flip the step outs out? Is this correct of is this harness for something totally differant? Thanks man, I am just trying to understand their options for harnesses
The harness is just like a y-splitter. just leaves an open OBD port. You don't have to purchase it. If you don't purchase it you just have to unplug the Plug and hook up your diagnostic tester or what other device they have that plug into the OBD port. When you done then you just plug the power board plug back in. Not like the old days of pulling out 3-4 pieces of trim, located each wire for each door then putting the trim pieces back on.

Sorry for any confusion.

I removed the rock rails and bought these AMP Power Boards. Wasn’t sure how it was going to look since there were no photos or videos. I’m loving them.

Can you please tell me how many inches from ground to the top of the step when deployed? Also from top of the step to step-in. Thanks.

14 “ from the floor and looks to be about a foot to get in.

Looks like there will be another VB BL running around the mid-cities area. While I have seen about 5062 Cactus Gray Broncos I have only seen one other VB in the wild. Also, can you post a pick of the steps retracted at the same angle as the photo above that show them deployed? I would like to see how far the steps are tucked up and in.

Oh, and you posted post this and your wheels thread in the BRaptor forum section...
Sorry for the delay, been busy working late. Here ya go!

Did you install it yourself? Or did you have a shop install?

If you installed yourself, how hard was the install?

Thanks!

It took me and my dad 3 1/2 hours. Took 30 minutes to remove all the rock rail bolts and nuts. Pretty easy, just has long bolts and some confined areas. Took 10 minute to wire up with the OBD plug and crimp 4 wires with supplied wire connectors.

Can you take a close up photo of the front/rear by the tire for me? We had to remove the steps on our bronco as they rubbed on our 37s. Wondering how close these get to the edge of the fender area

Following. This is my next big purchase, but have to recover from recent wheel/tire purchase first.

Prob overkill on the photos but you can never be too certain without the proof

Planning to eventually put these on our Badlands (non-squatched) 4 door when it comes in. Looking at your pictures I'm hopeful that the Ford splash guards will fit without issue. Thank you for the write-up.
