Not the end of the world for me. Wasn't counting on it actually happening so my plan is still 2 door badlands, manual transmission. That has all the Sasquatch items minus the wheels and tires and I don't mind running 33 inch tires in the short term. Can always put bigger shoes on later if I want to.

It's quoting Ford from July. Meh, we'll see.

Unfortunate, but considering my options were a BL or a basemansquatch I'm not surprised. It forces people like me who are very serious about a manual and need/want all the off-road potential we can get into buying a higher package. Netting them more money.

What a ridiculous move by Ford from the beginning.

I'm about to make up my own mythical creature-themed package...
loch ness monster?
The Chupacabra?
Jackelope?

There's another quote that has to be within the last few days: "Speculation on the writer's part," remarked a Ford spokesperson. "Lineup and powertrain offering configurations are as announced on July 13."

Tells us nothing. The quote from the Ford spokesman isn’t very definitive and leaves a lot open to interpretation. The Drive got the courtesy of a response from Ford because it’s a known quantity, that doesn’t mean Ford was going to give them a straight answer.

As far as I’m concerned the answer is still “we’re listening”. And the possibility for mansquatch will remain open until Ford directly tells us no.

That article was only written because the author has a quota for number of articles and needed to crank one out. Just filler
