about that.. I’m curious... I’m guessing the mic material is some sort of composite. There are places on my truck, like the black plastic on top of the bumper, that just have a tendency to fade or lighten up. I might be way off but do you think there’s a chance that’s why they are going with the gray-ish color? It might be difficult upkeep to keep the solid black color?

Yeah, I try to avoid China products if I can, but it's hard to these days. Still, I don't go out of my way when there are just as good choices made here in the US.

These tires gets lots of recommendations, but there is no way I'll put them on my vehicle.

That's a picture of 285/70/17s, so I'm not so sure about the accuracy of tirerack. Either way, I'm not running Chinese tires on my vehicles unless that's my only choice.
