Well, since we are developing a “Santa List’ for @Ford Motor Company.

Ford, could you please allow the 2-door model potential owners to purchase a dual top option consisting of a Bestop Soft Top now with prep kit with delivery in calendar year 2021. Included in this option is a MOD top delivered in calendar year 2023.

You get a sold Bronco moving through your assembly line into the hands of an owner. We are removed from the MIC top backlog. Happy owner, happy assembly line worker, happy Ford.

Thank you for your consideration. Have a nice day! :)
👆Second best idea I’ve ever seen

MAP is building 2,795 broncos this week.
2 doors - 619
4 doors - 2,176
Hard tops - 1,823

MAP is building 4,435 vehicles(bronco and rangers) this week.

Think all 619 of them will sit in the lot with crap tops? The odds are high.
I hope not. One of them is mine.

So about 50,000 2 door reservations divided by 619 built a week gives us 80 weeks of time to build the reservations. If they can figure out the tops. So since they can't figure out the tops, this is probably why 2 door reservations aren't hearing a lot of news.
That is reservations not orders. According to what was released in a conferance.
There were about 125,000 converted reservations before the 2021 cut off dates:
~34,000 2 doors 27%
~91,000 4 doors 63%

seems like they are building at a ratio 22% 2 door to -68% 4 door

NOPE...............NOT interested in a soft top. Too many of us live in parts of the Country where a 24/7 soft top just is not practical. FORD needs to resolve the MIC issue and fast. I suggest they also give an extended replacement/warranty for 10 years on all 2021 and 2022 MICs...for the lifetime for original owners. That would make us feel more at ease with this issue.

So therefore it shouldn't be offered as an option for those who may want it?

My opinion for me. To each his/her own.

The question was if it should be offered as an option, and your response was NOPE. Now, maybe you wouldn't get the soft top, but that's no reason for it not be an option for those who would.

Sure.

But....I for one do not want one and with the problems I am seeing with the soft top....no thanks. After more than a year of people asking for one...Ford is still not offering it. There must be a reason.
