If your order was not in by March 19th or whatever it will not be considered until 2022.
Not true. The March 19th deadline was used to determine dealer allocation numbers. Since then, Ford has now sad that they're going to be building Broncos whether they match orders or not and sending them to dealers to fulfill their allocation.

So your place in line does matter, but your build spec can get you a Bronco sooner regardless of that old March deadline.

Right now the only deadline that matters is July 16th for soft top scheduling.

I'd get a trd pro 4runner or tacoma if you plan on glipping it in a year.

the Jeep had strong resale before the supply issues, there is not reason to suggest that will change EXCEPT the introduction of the Bronco. Jeep no longer has a corner on the market. If you can get a Bronco, then the resale will be better on the Bronco due to scarcity, demand, hype. If you want a Jeep, you have the last 50+ years to choose a model from.
But your not generally choosing between a current model Bronco and 50 years of Jeep. Comparing more current models, it’s hard to say what will happen. If the Bronco is good and still scarce, it will probably do a bit better short term. They already discount current model Jeeps a bit and some of the Covid money and low interest rates come to an end, it will likely suppress new and used prices a bit at some point in the next 12-18 months. It’s still a guess, but I wouldn’t be buying short term right now expecting to not take a hit or risk. Lots of speculation and $ chasing scarce inventories.
