89x was my childhood and now she is being laid down to rest at noon today.
I would be lying if I said I still listened regularly - but I absolutely would have played her on the Bronco when I tired of my spotify mix.

30 years. Sad.

Yeah, I read about the change the other day. Something about "if you liked the original format you probably won't like the new one." I was a freshman in college when they went on the air. I was pretty traumatized when 98.7 WLLZ went off the air a few years later. These days I hardly listen to any local radio. It's pretty much all SiriusXM or playlists from my phone.

Same! However, this still feels like watching an old friend pass away. Obviously not that intense, but still melancholy.
