These are nice by GOAT Fabrication. True frame mount sliders.

This video is informative.......I do not think it is an advertisement.

The 2 commenst that caught my attention is the one about things inside the bronco frame making drilling a bad idea and that most makers are stating that body mount rails are strong enough.
Yes, the whole drilling through the frame idea just seems bad all the way around. I got under my BD this morning to see why there aren't any frame mounted options yet. There are three bolt on the frame that hold the armor plates and there are two good size bolts that mount the body to the frame. Why these 5 bolts can't be used for sliders, I don't know, but they are there. Maybe one of the manufactures can tell us.

Tech inside the frame is an interesting idea.
We are hoping for Rock Slide Engineering step/rail.
Hopefully it will be just right.........we will be poor afterward but at least we can get in and out of the Bronco when we go rock crawling.

I was just looking for this picture, thumbs up on these
RTR makes great stuff, fan haver does as well, but those sliders, if you live anywhere that freezes, will give you problems. They don't drain well and there isn't enough cleating to give a good grip when they ice up with road spray. I am in a U2 situation here.....I still haven't found what I'm looking for.... I think the best thing about an extended rock rail is going to be the added gravel damage protection... I drove a SAS outerbanks in Moab, am about 6ft tall and my 5 10 75 yo Dad and I were just sliding across right onto the seat with no problem, so I am not sure sure if a step would just sorta push me up enough for a super awkward step in height. The bronco door/window height is MUCH shorter than my lifted HD Ram.

There is no way rock sliders bolted to the pinch welds are going to hold up and not cause damage at some point.

The Rockslide Engineering power step/rock slider is available to order...says 6-8 weeks to get.

This was what I was looking at until I found out they are body mounted as well. The whole reason to spend $2k plus on them was that they were a powered step as well as a slider. If they aren't a frame mounted slider you might as well get the other powered steps for almost half the cost.

For those interested, just put 4WP side steps on my 2 Door. Can be done by yourself, would recommend help (hard to get the thing lined up and get bolts started on your own, lots to juggle). Are they real sliders: No, not really, they are body mounted--pinch weld and a couple other places. Do they seem like pretty solid steps: Yes. Almost as wide as the Sasquatch fenders/tires, and a reasonable height off the ground.

Note that they stop a couple inches shy of the back of the door, but start right at the front wheel well.

I am trying to decide between the Ford Brand and a few of the Go Rhino options for steps. I and other family members will need steps for daily use. We don't plan to crawl many rocks, just dirty roads and puddles.

Ford brand: https://accessories.ford.com/products/bronco-4dr-2021-tube-step-bars

Go Rhino V- Series V3 Side Steps https://www.gorhino.com/vertex
Or
Dominator D1 Side Steps w/ Full Length Drop Steps https://www.gorhino.com/dominator-d1

Any feedback on Go Rhino for quality? Weight bearing concerns (if two people getting in at the same time)?

My custom steps welded onto my factory rock rails. Can’t put them on until I get my Bronco back from the dealer. Waiting for a new engine (one of the afflicted 2.7’s). Big thank you to Red Summit Machineworks!
