I would not say easy to install. But not difficult either. The only hard part was the weight of them. I installed some on my 4 door yesterday

I agree in as much they are nice, as far as installing they took all damn day to install.

How far from the body do they stick out? Can you put your foot on the top plate to use as a step?

They look like a nice setup on a 2 door! May need to reconsider my Amp power steps. Had a delivery date (past monday) and went back order.

How far from the body do they stick out? Can you put your foot on the top plate to use as a step?
They are 4" wide and make a nice static step if you have to load stuff on a roof rack. They also help to guard against door dings (unless parked next to a bro-dozer)

Thanks for the response. Does the top have a non-slip surface, or could you apply the tape to it?

My wife uses the top plate to stand/walk on when she’s flipping the soft top open or closed.
