I've considered the same, for both my 69 Bronco and the new one.I have no garage and once it stops snowing in Tahoe I have to figure out a wooden platform I can back up under and attach a hoist on top to try this on my soft top. Can’t wait !
Here's the part you need.I have no garage and once it stops snowing in Tahoe I have to figure out a wooden platform I can back up under and attach a hoist on top to try this on my soft top. Can’t wait !
That will work!! I may not have it as wide and customize it a bit for the end of my driveway, so another car can park next to me when I’m under it. Thank you!! I will at least take photos, and maybe video my build and upload it to YouTube. Here's the part you need.

You can locally source the 4x6 and 4x4 lumber.
Here's the swing set (soon to be gantry style crane) I have. LOL
The one end used to attach to a playhouse type structure. Kiddo is too old for this stuff now.
Yep, just buy whatever lumber suits your build. Seems like 10ft 4x4's would net you 9'-3" to the bottom of the 4x6.That will work!! I will at least take photos, and maybe video my build and upload it to YouTube.
