I’m getting a 4 door Black Diamond and would like roof rails and a cargo basket to allow room for family beach trips to the OBX (throw all the umbrellas, chairs etc on top).

This option only seems to come with a hard top.

I actually want the hard top for winter, but also want a soft top for summer.

Does anyone know if you can have roof rails with a soft top? The plan would be to remove the cargo basket once we arrive at our beach house in order to be able to open the top.

Thanks.

How exactly are you gonna mount it to fabric?

You'll need an exocage style rack.

Or cut holes in the fabric and mount it straight to the rear roll bar. Maybe not the most elegant solution...

I guess the Bimini top would work as an option with roof rails.

I was trying to avoid the exoskeleton style rack but maybe that’s not possible.

Can you tell it’s been 20 years since I’ve owned a Wrangler soft top ??. For some reason I thought the soft top might fit between roof rails but that doesn’t make sense does it. I never had a roof rails with mine.

Bimini would still require a special rail setup that mounts to the roll bar as the factory offered roof rails use the hard top as the rear mounting area.

This stuff will likely all be available aftermarket.

With jeeps it’s done on bumper. Bronco could easily use windshield mount and rear bumper or corner body mounts
