So here's something I hadn't thought about in all this time. I love the idea of the twill retractable front row top, but is it compatible with the roof rails? (from the pictures, it doesn't look like it is).

And do the roof rails allow for the rest of the hard top to come off?

No, the twill top would not be compatable. Rails would have to be removed to use the top.

You can remove the front two panels with the rails on, but the middle panel would be difficult with the rails on. And of course the rear shell can never come off with the rails installed.

Brutal! I hadn't realized all this. It will require some pondering.

Here's another question. If I order the twill top, do I still get the front MIC top pieces?

Great question. I would assume you would, but i have not seen any confirmation of that.

This has got me thinking that maybe I should now go after that hard-to-get tow hitch so that can put a ski rack or cargo carrier on back.

Or maybe I can ditch the spare tire and put something there.... Hmmm... Questions.

Check out this video:

There are some other ones on YouTube as well. The 4 door is pretty much the same too from what I have watched.
