Rooftop Seating for Roll Bar or Roll Cafe- Let’s Collaborate

I need this community’s creativity!

“Problem” I am solving: my daughter plays softball. I sit in the outfield (my filter is broken) and we can see through some of the fence but some spots have billboards. We can’t sit in the Bronco as the fence bar is right at eye level.

Desires Solution: I want to be able to back into a spot and jump up into some seats that fasten to my roll bar. It will need to be fairly easy to detach. This can be quick releases or bolts. I would love to be able to use the bolt holes in the roll bar.

Current Thoughts: I have considered simply building a wooden bench seat to sit on it, using parts from a prefabricated bench, bolting a board to the top to simply use our stadium chairs…

What ideas do you have? Have you seen a solution for this? What would make this work and be the best.

Too bad I already sold this ‘77. The seats on the front bumper could also mount to the roof. This would have been perfect for you; and if you showed up in it, everyone would know you didn’t have a “filter”.

That thing is a boss! No hiding in that thing! Ironically, I was first considering some sort of hitch mounted seats. Then, figured, I better go for a higher point of view... However, they look like boat seats. I didn't consider a folding boat seat.

Looks like you already have some decent stadium seats? You might consider adding some straps to the bottom that simply wrap around the roll bar to secure it.

Personally I would avoid bolting them up there, as then you may need to try to take them off in the dark, when all you really want to do is get them off and head home.

I like bolting into the existing threads on the roll bar. That way you can bolt it up in your driveway before the game. certainly would look boss through town with seats up there on the way to the game
