Looking forward to all the trails! My son lives in Reno and is only an hour or so away from the Rubicon. I have not done that trail but I will. I've done Moab multiple times now, but need to go back to see if I can tackle some of the trails my truck couldn't. Should be fun!

My first run will probably be what appears to be a pretty sedate Washington Backroad Discovery Route. Should be fun and relaxing, with nothing too challenging at all. I have no real desire to do anything to damage the Bronco.

Maybe revisit the Alvord desert and do the Steens loop.

I have never been on it, except for the first mile last month in the jeep, just to find the beginning of it out of Stevenson. So it will be new to me. Have you traveled all or part of it?

Part of the OBDR, from the south, starting near Lakeview and headed north. Got caught in a snow storm at high elevation and had to head back down to the desert, which also was getting hit hard with snow. Ended up heading home. So, I've traveled 1/3 or so of the southern part of the OBDR. It's not technical, but it is beautiful.

2000 miles, child's play. Get out there, and enjoy this beautiful country if at all possible.

Pretty good mpg's for a Mustang GT 5.0L. :)

This was in our Wrangler JL last year. Who says Jeeps don't get gas mileage?

Well, I am more a summer guy. NW all my life, but just never loved the snow. I'm envisioning a nice hot summer day, with top off. Stop for lunch and look at the wildflowers. Shit, I am getting old, wtf looking at wildflowers.
Let me know when and I'll see you out there.

Which Engine/transmission was that?
3.6L with the 8 speed auto. I was quite surprised, and impressed as we took quite a few dirt roads, and back roads during that trip.

Nice... I think I've been convinced that IF I have to bail on the Bronco, I'd go with the 2021 JLU but the 2.0T motor. Seems like the 3.6 is the go to, but the 2.0 is more modern and possibly better Highway MPG.

All reports are the 2.0L does a great job. When I bought the 2.0 was still new, so I went with the old standby. You can find a lot of info here. But hopefully the Bronco will work out for you.
