Call me dumb if I missed it. Is there a link to the official Ford site about this?SSM 50660 - 2022 Bronco – Rusted Fasteners On Exterior Bodyside Grab Handle – Built On 01-Feb-2022 And Through 10-Mar-2022
Some 2022 Bronco vehicles built on 01-Feb-2022 and through 10-Mar-2022 may exhibit rusted fasteners on the exterior bodyside grab handle/fender anchor point (base part number 9920038). This may be due to a lack of protective e-coating applied to the bolts during the manufacturing process. Replacement of the exterior bodyside grab handle will be required. Due to the sudden high demand for these grab handles, service stock has been depleted. Ford is actively working to obtain more exterior bodyside grab handles/fender anchor points to meet the increase indemand and, in parallel, release the affected fasteners as a serviceable end-item. Monitor OASIS for updates.
Oct 4 2022 2021-2022 Bronco – Front Fender Trail Sight Fasteners Now Available |
Some 2022 Bronco vehicles built on 01-Feb-2022 and through 10-Mar-2022 may exhibit rusted fasteners on the front fender trail sights (base part number 9920038). This may be due to a lack of protective e-coating applied to the bolts during the manufacturing process. Replacement of the exterior bodyside grab handle assembly will no longer be required. Trail sight fasteners are now available on their own as SPN: M2DZ-18D654-A. This kit comes with two bolts and two nuts, enough to replace all fasteners on one trail sight assembly. These fasteners work on both the left and right trail sights. SSM 51118 |
Why does the price matter? They should be covered under warranty. Unless you’re over 3/36Has anyone ordered these? Ordering 2 sets runs about $100, just wondering if it's a satisfactory replacement.
It doesn't matter, but depending on part availability, perhaps one would prefer not to wait. It's just a question. Why does the price matter? They should be covered under warranty. Unless you’re over 3/36
Ah okay. I can’t speak to the quality of them, but they are readily available from Ford now if you order from your dealer. It doesn't matter, but depending on part availability, perhaps one would prefer not to wait. It's just a question.
