Sad day for the pony, gracious for my wife

Monday morning my wife was heading to work as any other day. Just her and the pups. It happened to be raining. As she made her way, a pickup came around a curve and hit her 6 month old Bronco she had ordered and waited 4 months for. Of course truck driver fled on foot so, no insurance on his part. All we can say is, looking at the damage to the Bronco and my wife walking away with a brused forearm, and our 2 dogs being perfectly safe, we will be replacing it with another Bronco. @Ford, you outdid yourself with the safety. Any way to get a coupon for a replacment Bronco

Grateful that she was able to walk away with only a bruise. The Bronco took a beating and did it's job keeping the occupants safe.

I don't know about the law in Missouri, but in Arizona leaving the scene of an accident with personal injury is a class five felony. There would be a warrant out for the driver once they figure out who he is.

edit: After giving this some thought, I bet the truck driver was probably intoxicated. That would explain a lot

Really glad to read that your wife and dogs are okay. Looking at the photos the Bronco took a really good hit, and did what it was supposed to do, which it did amazingly well.
I do believe in Karma and that driver who fled, will certainly be getting his in due course.
Hopefully you can get your Bronco replaced quickly and easily.

Glad she and the furry kids are ok! Too bad they couldn’t find the dirtbag driving the other vehicle. I might have released the hounds and listened for the screaming. Our dogs were more lovers than fighters though so it wouldn’t have been helpful Wishful thinking!!!

Wow, I'm sorry to hear about the accident. The truck must have been going at a pretty good speed to do that kind of damage (non-professional opinion). I'm just glad your wife and pups were able to escape relatively unscathed. That's the most important part.

I am sorry about your Bronco, but very thankful your wife & pups were able to walk away.
Crazy that the other driver ran away & never bothered to check to be sure they did not hurt anyone else, or aid assistance to them if needed?
I guess your wife had to call 911 herself?
