Well I finally took the wife mudding yesterday. Her first day off in about a week and a half. It just rained here in Houston so took her down a nice dirt road I’ve been down many of time. Mud was super thick probably 18 inches deep so I moved over into the grass thinking it would be a lot firmer. Almost got stuck but made it down to the river. Did some fun donuts with her and the dog. Then started my way back. Again thinking the grass might be nice and firmer started back on the grass rather than the dirt road itself. Tried to ride on top of some of the ruts slid down into 24 inches of thick mud in the grass where my struts & my differentials got caught & buried in the dirt. My fun full-size bronco With 33 inch BFG KO 2’s,

wasn’t moving an inch. After 45 minutes of playing with Concrete bricks and bridge material finally had to make the dreaded call! My buddies showed up about 20 minutes later one with an F150 in the other one with a…… Yep you guessed it a jeep. Commence to try to pull me out with each truck to no avail. Finally hooked it up to the winch took the F150 to the jeep and the winch was the thing that did the trick. I never thought I was ever going to put a winch on my truck but now I can’t see the logic and not putting one on there. That y’all might like some of these pictures. 🤦🏻‍♂️ Thank God for friends!

I’m curious if you would have made it with MT tires.

This brings up something I've been wondering - does anyone see any drawbacks to capping those exposed ladder frame pieces? Cousin is a welder and seems like something he could take care of easily before underbody rust pro is added.

I think they need to be capped!

I do too but my primary concern would be trapping moisture in there - although I'm sure there are other holes along the pieces but don't know for sure.

Also welding and grinding - going to expose metal so definitely need to get it protected ASAP after doing it.

Depending on how big the line is, I wonder if you could have just wrapped around one of those concrete pillars and pulled yourself out with just your own winch?

crazy stuck that it took 2 people to get you out!

It's cause you dont have the painted door handles, that makes it 70 pounds lighter overall... lol.. jk

Just curious if anyone pulling you out was using standard recovery ropes or kinetic ropes and still didnt budge? As for who pulls you out of the stuck nature, meh, doesnt matter to me. Im no fanboi.

As for winch, I may if they have a good design I like, but recovery with friends is my main plan and if that doesnt work, well, there are recovery specialists out there for a reason, not too proud here.
