Still not much info as far as a directed repair or what the inspection involves, but here is the new advanced notice for the 2.7 valve recall. As it mentions, the full bulletin will be released sometime in the 1st quarter of 2025. When that is available I will update this post.

Only 90,646 affected vehicles between 6 models. I'm also not sure why it says 2021-2022 Bronco, because there were no 2022 Broncos made before December 2021. So according to the build dates listed, no 2022 Broncos were affected by this.

Either way, if you want to see if your Bronco is affected you can enter your VIN here:

Thanks @Ducati1098 - looks like my former Badlands falls within the range for a recall. I hope the new owner receives notification to have it checked out…

Your link didn't return anything for me. But I know I'm smack dab in the middle of that date range. Already pushed over 71k miles without this being an issue (knock on wood). Sure wouldn't mind a new engine, but am concerned what torture test they'd put it through to decide who gets replaced and who doesn't.

And to add to that, being my only vehicle, is Ford going to give me a loaner while they have my Bronco for months on end if they blow my engine? Things to think about.

Same here.

Nevermind - Mine was built the week of November 8th, so it just missed it.

Thanks! Ran my VIN and it was not showing anything. Mine is a "last batch" 2021 so it was built December 2021.

Yeah not all vehicles within the build dates are going to be affected. So yours must be considered good if it doesn’t show up. There’s always a chance they will add more VINs at a later time though.

We have 49 total, only 1 is a bronco, the remainder are F150.
Yeah I have a feeling a large portion will be F150.
I’ll have to check ours tomorrow and see what it shows.

Why can't they just release a technical overview ahead of time? Doesn't need to be the full bulletin just a high level view of the process so we can anticipate parts and scheduling? It would help with planning, especially when we're several weeks out at this point.

I don’t know. I was thinking the same thing. What good is an advanced notice with practically zero information this far out lol

Mine, built in August 2021 is listed in the recall. 100k miles, probably going to let go any day now... LOL.

I went back to my dealer in Jan of 2022 to change my October 2021 order from the 2.7 to the 2.3. I remember the sales rep ( she was fantastic in providing me real time info) was concerned my order change might delay my build. It didn’t. I know the odds were extreme to wind up with the 2.7 motors ( valve droppers)in question, but if you had my kind of luck you would have changed the order too.

Just checked my VIN and looks like I'm on the list. I've made is 41,250 miles so far.
