Porsche has turned this into a profit center called “paint to sample”. You can pay big bucks like 12K and have your Porsche painted nearly any color from their 50 year history of colors. Many people pay the price and in return those cars have a higher resale value. I realize that the Bronco buyer is different than a 911 buyer generally speaking but others have made it work for the customer and the company. No clue? I'm sure it is more than I am willing to pay.
Ford has always lacked in color options for their vehicles. Would be cool if Ford could open the entire paint catalog, but I know it doesn't make economical sense for them.
With that being said I'm sure they would sell a lot of the sage green. Most likely enough to make it worth their trouble. $$$$
Yeah, but I just don't see Ford ever doing that? You are correct that the average Bronco buyer would not pay that much for "paint to sample". I would just buy the vehicle and get it painted the color I want for cheaper than Ford would be willing to paint it if the funds were available. Although, I must admit that I wouldn't even paint aftermarket because the funds aren't available. I would just get cactus gray and be done with it.Porsche has turned this into a profit center called “paint to sample”.
