I can make a couple of calls. I worked on the retail management side of the Car biz for a number of years in UT and CA and I am currently on the Vendor side. Still have a couple of Ford GM contacts that I am comfortable speaking with. I will of course try and broker the best possible but I am curious as to what would represent a good enough deal to make you switch a reservation to them and not have to go to CO, ID, IA, or CA to get your deal?

Xplan would be best, but I’m open minded.

Ford granger gives the discounted shipping if we fill a truck of 6 cars. We are definitely 6 already from your messages and since I have a local friend not on the forum in the same situation.
if we all switch to granger, then we could get discounted shipping. The question is how we coordinate that with @Granger Ford ?
I'm in the Colorado group. We havent decided on any shipping points and will coordinate that later. We have almost 80 people in our group right now so there will be different shipping points based on 6 vehicles at a time. You could make your ship point right next to DIA. Get off a plane and pick up your Bronco and drive home. Or if you are driving in set up a pickup point closest to Utah....Or just join a ship site with our members to fill up the 6 needed for the currently quoted $425 shipping offer. Just a thought.
Once you join we have a Super Secret thread to coordinate shipping for everyone. The more people that join the easier/cheaper it will be for everyone to coordinate shipping.

A rough qoute from a large auto transport company from Iowa to Salt Lake was around $1000-1100 range.

I imagine a little shopping around could save a little and also if there was a few broncos Utah bound leaving Granger at the same time we could possibly get a better deal there. (alot can change in a few months)

or I can see myself joining the Colorado group as well, timing the delivery to be in Denver the moment the trucks get there may be a logistical issue but I wouldn't mind taking my truck and trailer over and trailering it home if need be. Id be looking at a couple hundred in fuel plus 16 hours of driving round trip if done turn and burn which I've done before for much less exciting vehicles in the middle of winter! ( a 1951 F2 MH and parts truck) or for a couple hundred more just have it show up at my door??

I'm not opposed to the Colorado ship idea with granger. Once B+P is up I still works love to the local dealerships an opportunity to play ball. I bet the smaller dealers outside the valley would be more interested than anyone in the valley.

If everyone else is planning on going to granger, then we could target the same granger price deal and subtract the shipping?

Anyone know if there is only one "bronco specialist" per dealership?

If I counted right, we should have 10-15 just based on those who have commented at this point?

I’m interested in a Utah group but as well if possible. Otherwise granger via Colorado works as well.

Anyone buying in Salt Lake? Super Ford in SLC is very unresponsive when I ask if they will match offers like Granger. I was wondering if there is an existing buyer group in town or a Granger buyer group to get reduced shipping?
Go with Granger as you will be voting with your dollars. Albert will help you put a group together.

I would think if we have 10-15 or more and get that number to go up we could definitely get a better deal on shipping than 1100. If the Colorado guys are paying $475 per we should be able to get well below that 1100 number. The issue would be what others have mentioned on timing of the arrivals. I surely wouldn't mind having my bronco hang out at Granger for a week or two.

I have decided to move my res to Granger with the idea of a short road trip to the closest ship point to Utah, in the Colorado group or a fly and drive to Granger. Was told we were not able to put together a separate shipping group directly through Granger to UT at this time. In feeling out a couple of GMs at some local stores there was not a lot of interest in competing with Granger like pricing, even adding the shipping costs. Also, some extended time alone in the new rig sounds appealing.
