In sport mode, I usually pull between 17-19 PSI, with a slight taper off towards redline. Stock, no tune.Ill have to note this next time I drive - what’s a normal PSI I should be hitting at WOT?
Sounds like waste gate or something to that effect.Thank you! You have no idea how nice it is to hear this.
Every time I have described the issue (its hard to catch on video) people tell me its the turbo. Luckily I have owned many cars with turbos, thus I was 99% sure it was NOT a normal turbo sound.
I appreciate your confirmation.
Did this ever get diagnosed the dealer?
Mine is 100% correlated to the RPM’sThanks for the quick reply.
Yes, I am having the same issue - the noise kind of drives me crazy.
I have a manual, and my bronco has also been blessed with the "manual tranny grinding noise".
I live in the Canada so obviously it's cold this time of year, but this engine noise does not go away once the engine is up to temp. To me it doesn't sound normal at all, and my wife can also hear the noise when in the cabin with me. Sounds like a valve issue perhaps as there's a direct correlation with the sound and rpms.
I have a laundry list of things I need taken care of, so I wanted to have something more concrete when writing the email to the service manager.
Probly that muffler flapperEngine makes a super weird metal fluttering sound upon acceleration. It’s always hard to capture on video. Dealers tell me there is no such sound.
please watch this video - am I insane? Is there a weird flutter sound? It’s more prevalent toward the end of the video
nope - vehicle must be in motionIf you rev the engine at idle do you hear it?
