I'm frustrated how poor my 2.3 mileage is after getting 35s because 2.7s can only dream of what I get on 33s. 35s are the great equalizer.

With 5000 miles and counting, I'm averaging 19.8 lifetime over a combination of interstate, secondary, and "WTF are you doing here" roads, paths, and trails. This is in a 2 door Badlands with Sasquatch, 2.3/10spd, lux and leather. Of note, it came with a REALLY heavy wheel/tire package (20x10 Fuel Blitz with 35/12.50x20 Nitto Ridge Grapplers) that were pushing about 110 pounds per, that I just replaced about 300 miles ago.

My 4 Dr Badlands Sasquatch is supposed to get 13.7 L per 100 km.
What I'm getting is 11.2 L per 100 km .
I'm getting about 670 km a tank , my 4dr JK only got 400 km a tank.
Both with 78 L tanks and 35" tires .

2.3 auto SAS 8000 miles 18.8 mpg. Over 70 mph drops the mpg exponentially.
This is going to be the hardest thing for me, to not hang at 80-85 MPH like I do now.

A lot of this has to do with how you drive, regardless of 2.3 or 2.7. I have a 2 door sas Wildtrak with 18k. I consistently get 20.1 mpg with combined driving. Onboard computer says lifetime mileage is 19.2.

I'm happy with 17.5 average and on trips I usually get around 19 average. Not bad on 35's

To answer the OP's question without just posting meaningless "this is what MPG I get with my truck and driving habits", there is likely little to no difference in MPGs between the two engines. The dominant factors in MPGs are going to be aerodynamics, weight, rolling resistance, gearing, etc. These will be identical between the two trucks. You essentially have two economy optimized small displacement turbo engines. Their fuel economy is likely to be nearly identical when in identical trucks.

If one were a naturally aspirated V8, or a supercharged V6, you might see a difference. But a turbo 4 vs turbo 6? It's unlikely you see much.

2.7 10spd Sasquatch with new 35's at 72 lbs per tire (they weigh 26 lbs. more per tire) installed at 5K miles.
Currently 10,419 miles and lifetime average of 17.8 miles/gal.

Was 18.9 through 5k miles until I swapped tires. Also live at altitude and a few hours a week on trails in 4H and 4L.
