I have a 4 door base Sasquatch, getting a FORD hitch installed next week....will I need a "drop hitch" for towing a small 6x12 trailer? I have a 2" drop hitch, but I think it will still be too "high" for a level tow....? Thanks! Bob

Would depend on the hitch height of your trailer. My 6” lifted f150 on 35s requires a 2” drop and wife’s grand cherokee on 32s requires 2.5” rise for our offroad camper trailer. Don't know what is needed yet on our Bronco but will know come next week.

So the answer to this is it depends. Mainly on your trailer hitch connection itself. In my case, using the 2 inch drop I already had from my previous towing, it was not enough to clear the tire with the locking mechanism I have on my specific coupler. But most should clear with a 2 inch drop in my opinion. There isnt much room, but should clear with a standard 2 inch drop so common out there.

Personally for my specific setup I am going to look for a 4 to 6 inch drop, but this also has to do with my trailer riding flat. Probably more like a 4 inch drop, or an adjustable. Biggest thing will be the door clearing anything that is raised behind the coupler. That door swings wide.
