dana 44 is standard, locker is not. though it says the locker is optional seperately from the sasquatch package.
Which is why it’s crap they don’t offer the lockers with the stick!
Edit. Lockers are standard. I’m good but will still fight for everyone else!!

The Sasquatch is available with both the 2.3 and 2.7. Anything automatic will get you squatching. So you can get the Sasquatch package with the smaller engine.
As an aside, y'all are killing me with the squatch wordsmithing! ?

I'm not a manual buyer, too lazy these days, but this is the one genuine thing thats a bit disappointing. A chance for ford to say to enthusiasts "we see you, we got your back, row those gears bro!" and they've seemingly rruined it.

I think your idea of reasonable configurations may not connect to reality though...

a nationwide incompetence of dealers to pay interest on inventory that doesnt turn, so they can instead deal with retail orders, just doesnt seem likely. why would they do this? why wouldnt they learn?

seems far more likely that the oodles of wranglers that wont see worse than a deep puddle, are all automatics.
We're talking about an optional package that can be added to a build. If the dealer wants to buy a lot of a package that doesn't sell, that's on them. But depriving the consumer of the option seems silly.

I remember hearing a conspiracy theory a while back (I think on B6G?) that OEMs deliberately make manuals available with packages no one wants so they can further drive down manual take rates and thereby justify killing off manuals and simplifying their product lines.

Personally, I'm torn. As a 'Save the Manuals' type guy, I feel obligated to buy the manual, but that's going to be a tough pill to swallow if it requires getting a model or package I don't want.

FORD! IT'S NOT DIFFICULT: affordable, stylish, manual, lockers. It's truly baffling they could fumble the biggest launch in 30 years this badly. Know your buyers.

I am not on twitter, so maybe some twitterer can post a link to the thread so MIke can have some reading this evening.

I was "OK" with the 2.3 only for the manual, but this is a deal killer. I would prefer to have a diesel option, but still not allowing this on the manual is BAD PRESS.
