I do completely agree. The Good Year tires are great in the snow/ice here in Wyoming and very quiet on the road. I think the Good Year tires rock!Guys it’s the trade off for having a good all around off-road tire. The wet/ice/snow performance of these tires is so much better than other off-road tires and to boot that are pretty quiet. I have boards, the pinch armor and flaps and have no more damage than a normal passenger car tire but have been so many places with these things.
you just haven't run across the right conditions yet. rock rails have nearly zero protection from loose gravel. The rock rails seem to protect fairly well against the paint chips. At least it seems thus far.
If it makes you feel any better, the rock flingage stops significantly as the tires wear.Check out my new Sasquatch accessory. Wonder how long before the Folgers bucket is full?
also agree - I've played in the snow - and was floored at how well they handled in the snow, and yesterday played in some super sloppy mud, and it was amazing... so -while these tires may hold and throw pebbles - they WORKI do completely agree. On edit. These tires are for mall crawlers. I have run a mud terrain tire on every 4x vehicle I have owned since I was 16 these Goodyears are the absolute worst I have ever run. I live on a gravel road and they suck. I have 5 for sale and can’t even get a bite for 1000 bucks for 5. I switched to the Hercules Tera trac (ran many a set on my service trucks) after I found out good year is not making the mtr anymore in a 37”MINE WERE OFF WITH 49 MILES ON THEM
