Good luck Op! Not a crosstrek, but Ive had a Subaru in the garage since 2007. The STi has now been discontinued but is a really analog car, manual, hydraulic steering, AWD with locking diffs. There aren’t any cars like that anymore. Insane resale value And super reliable. Great cars an A lot of fun with some mods. My 2011 made like 400 torque to the wheels On E85.

I’ve driven the Crosstrek as a loaner when STi in shop (not often) and it’s great daily driver, but I wouldn’t trade my Bronco for one.

The STi is the only Subaru with a coolness factor in their line. Everything else is a station wagon from my childhood.
That lifted thing from Subaru might possibly be the worst looking vehicle I’ve ever seen.

$4.29 yesterday about 50 cents more than 87 octane and the same as premium.
We’ve got ridiculous taxes on diesel here in CT. Average price is around $5.20 now. It makes no sense.

I'm downright shocked at the MPGs I get with mine-I'm around 19.5 MPG for around town driving (I drive 13 miles to work), its better then my old '13 SHO I had. I get on it at times at lights when I need too also!

I haven't had it on the highway much, but was around 20 going to LBI last week.

I know if you have sasquatch package your gonna take a hit.
I've posted this before and although I didn't buy the Bronco for mpg's I'm quite surprised.
I do have a Base 2.7. And with the 2.7 you don't need 4.7 gears. A waste of rpm and fuel.
fyi I am running 285/70 R17 KO2's.

I just changed oil Saturday for the second time @ 5100 mi.
After another 300 miles at 65mph to Chicago and back The overall mpg is at 23.6.
And the trip for 1600 miles is at 23.8.
I've put 7 quarts in both times and the stick is nuts on.
My build was April 2022, my manual calls for 7 qt.
I run the front up on jack stands which helps drain all the oil.
I could see a 1/2 quarts left in the pan if you drain the pan when level.

When I bought my Badsas, I traded-in my 2019 Crosstrek. lol
I agree. Bronco is not ideal for a daily car. It's adventure car.
Crosstrek is perfect for daily car. better fuel economy, power, all time 4x4, enough cargo space, very comfortable and easy. also it's off-road capable! (easy one)
I miss my cresstrek. But I have a new awesome friend Bronco.

its sort of funny looking at this post. not making fun of the person who post it. more of my own situation i have a camaro 2ss for the past 12 years doing roughly 12mpg on highway, and im actually looking forward to the 17+mpg the bronco will give me. living in ny wasn't much a problem since everything is so close but being down here in Texas past 8 years i feel the hit. shoot i look at bronco mpg and look at it as a dream. to each their own, and i bet must've been real hard to make that decision.
How are you only getting 12mpg out of a 6.2L? You can be the most aggressive driver in the world and still should be getting 21+ mpg out of that LS. I have a 6.4L Challenger, and get between 23-27 highway, even heavy footed.

Wish I knew honestly but yup around 12 mpg , from my house to work is roughly 25 miles , so 50 back and forth highway. A quarter thank each full trip.car fills with 16 gallons. 80 mph speed limit on the high way.
