At the moment I'm planning on a non-sas BL

I'm planning on the std alum wheels, but looking at the optional beadlock capable wheels would it be silly to not get them for +$700 (CAD)?
I like the looks of both, and would stick with the std AT tire

this would be my daily driver, total noob to offroading
I am planning on light to moderate trails and occasional light overlanding

my driving is mix of city/hwy and every weekend I'm out at the pew pew range with gravel roads/heavy snow in the winter

If you like em and can afford em, get em.
They're used so that you can reduce the pressure in your tire to REALLY low levels, which aids you in crawling as your tire now will have more surface area to grip the ground

As a newbie to this stuff, you won't need this and likely will never lower your tire pressure. But if you rly like it then I say get em. Can't hurt

I'm considering the same thing right now, BL with no SAS but get 17" beadlocks -but haven't decided on which tire lol, however if I go BD then Sasquatch for sure.

I'm a total newbie too, and from what I've been researching, most people (in the normal world) will never use the beadlock function of a beadlock capable wheel. And certainly not for the type of driving you describe.

I started off wanting the Squatch because the wheels and tires look so damn cool, but I'm now leaning the other way. Sure wish I could get those rims with other packages though.

It important to understand that the upgraded wheels are merely “bead lock capable” and not actual bead locks.

Functionally both sets of wheels are exactly the same.

You would still need to purchase the bead lock rings later on. They aren’t cheap... and often not road legal (so you can run into problems getting tires mounted).

The upgraded wheels in the B&P are really just a cosmetic upgrade before spending additional money to upgrade them.

There are a few threads on the subject already if you’d like to hear more discussions on it. Here are the first two I found:

p.s. Yes, if I were you (and I might be), I would go for the black wheel.

As others have said, you need to buy the rings to use the beadlock capability. But based on the usage you describe you really don't need beadlocks.

They're +55 offset. It seems unlikely that running 35s would work well on them (Sas rims are +30) if you're planning to go that route.

That's an awesome price if not a B&P glitch. They're a steal at the $995 they are on the US B&P.

I like the looks of them, but I plan to run 35s. Unless we get some sort of confirmation that 35s will work without rubbing anywhere, I'll be looking to aftermarket.

sounds like it is a decent deal at that price
fingers crossed not a glitch, but not optimistic
the CAD site is not up to par - missing the Sig option on BB and a few other options

I wonder if one of the rockstars got the US to Canadian conversion backwards!

$995 Canadian works out to a little over $700 US...

?

(Seriously. Im calling dibs on this theory)

Dumb question, can you just go without the beauty ring?
mom not a fan of the light rings on Sasquatch

Yes. Should be no problem. It’s just a ring bolted to the outside of the wheel.

No idea what it will look like underneath it though.

Other options are to paint the rings you have, or replace them with one of the different Ford rings (silver, gray, black) or aftermarket when they become available.
