So, I’m having second thoughts and it’s not what you think. I been offered $25000 over sticker for my First Edition. I was dead set on accepting it until I received my build email. Now I’m having second thoughts of getting rid of it. What would you do?

Essentially you invested $100 and a few hours of your time a year ago and someone is offering a guaranteed return of $25000 or thereabouts. I assume this is a rhetorical question.
It isn’t honestly. Lol I’ve invested way more than a few hours just on this forum.

The extra time you spent is moot, has nothing to do with the cost of the reservation. Not only is it irrelevant, it is a sunk cost. Gone, even if you keep the vehicle. Take the money (and the couple hundred thousand Ford points) and run!

I've got mine in hand and haven't really contemplated selling it, I wanted it for so long. The smart financial decision is to sell it, but I'm not going to.

If you are going to own it for the long haul, I would keep it. If you will move on to the next thing in 5 years or less, it probably makes sense to sell it.

I think if I had a firm offer of $25K over, I’d sell my FE.

I voted sell. The only (logical) reason not to would be to keep it pristine and low mileage (and I mean low) as a future original owner collector car. You would have to keep it special enough to be worth $25k more than somebody else's 2 owner car. That's no fun.

$25k!? YES. I'd take that money - that is a ridiculous amount. I've driven a FE at OffRoadeo Texas. It's no different than a Badlands sasquatch with lux package.

It's hard for me to see any modern cars as collector cars. I just don't think they are built the same way as in the 50's/60's/70's or that society takes as much an interest (especially now that we have EVs). I also don't think modern vehicles are meant to last 30-40 years - they are too mechanically and technologically complex. This is the highest ROI you'd ever see I think. Ford will be pumping these out in about 3-5 years and the market will be just as flooded as it is with Jeeps.

Mine will never be sold because the thought of watching Blue drive away forever isn’t something I’d be able to do. My wife has agreed that the Bronco will never be sold, even after I’m gone. I don’t think there’s a Rule Against Perpetuities for vehicles.

Went in for service on Saturday and the service agent told me they had a Bronco stickered at $58k that sold for $110k. This is LA but still, I think OP can get more than $25k if that’s what they want.
