Oh look, another Wildtrak with a ton of sins or as Ford tells us, rare commodities, being used as a dealer mannequin.
It does kind of make me mad that most mannequins I’ve seen have tow package. If tow package is constrained, why put it on vehicles that can’t be sold, and will probably sell just fine without tow in six months?

We’ve been told for months and months, you want a Bronco, then build a 2.3 BB non SAS, 4dr soft top and avoid any other constraint. Yet here’s a 4dr WT build as a demo. And just to twist your titty a little more, it’s a soft top you can’t switch to. Ha!! Given the commodity issues, the demo program should’ve either been scrapped or every single demo sent out should’ve been a BB 2.3 4dr non SAS softie with no constraint items.

I’ve been willing to give Ford some slack on this launch, but electing to send “non buildable” demos to dealers and the priority order debacle, these are inexcusable decisions by Ford. Absolutely effed up.

You want to get your Bronco order scheduled ASAP?

Here is a list of the take rates versus demand for September production.

Your Big Bend, 4-Door, 2.3, Automatic/Manual, Soft Top order could get scheduled ASAP!

Now you just need to decide what compromises you may be willing to make to get your Bronco scheduled more quickly. You should have a week or two to contact your dealer to get your options updated as close as possible to what this list allows.

Also please keep in mind, these commodities change monthly. So August looks different than September. September will look different than October, etc. So Webasto could be able to produce more hard tops, or there may be more or less supplies for sasquatch. These only apply to this upcoming scheduling month.

Why are people claiming there is no info? we have almost too much info...but this is what we needed..thank you for posting.

Zach much appreciated -

Is Ford giving us any projection of the monthly Bronco production Totals ?

We've heard August is the first month of "Full Production" -
What does this mean in Total Broncos per Month ??

Is Ford projecting similar production Totals for Sept, Oct, Nov, Dec ??
Or possibly ramping up further ?

Or maybe the monthly production Totals are considered proprietary -

I know there are some forum members that are involved at the plant, that is probably a better question for them than me.

To my knowledge, this won't impact the Broncos. Think F-series trucks and SUVs. The supply issue with the Bronco lies with the hard tops, not the chips.

So the demos were used as "quality control" units too. So they test that they can manufactur things properly and to Ford's quality standards. To do this, they want to try every conifugration, trim, etc to make sure their quality is up to par. Once they reach that standard Ford gives their "okay to buy" this is when they start building retail orders. They want to practice on their own stock units than your retail unit.

Now that Ford has reach that standard they are building mannequin units that are soft top, big bend, 2.3 engines like you mentioned. I know this because our first mannequin unit was a Wildtrak, Lux, Hard top, 2 door. Our next 2 are big bend, manual, soft top, 4 doors. haha.

Here is how I looked at the numbers. I started with a 1.00 (100% likely to build), Then I multiplied by the ppts, so for OBX, capacity was +2: 1.00 * 1.02 = 1.02. Negative ppts, like MIC -35,
1.02 * 0.65 = 0.663.

So in my case with OBX, 2D, 2.7, MIC, TOW, LUX; So I have +2, -9,-24,-35,-25, -21 as build factors.

1.00 x 1.02 x 0.91 x 0.76 x 0.65 x 0.75 x 0.79 = 0.272 (rounded)

Or in my mind, that vehicle would have a 27.2% chance of getting picked up, all things being equal (and they aren't). Going with a BB, 4D, 2.3 soft top, would put me at the following chance of getting built. That build's factors are: +20, +9, +32, +35

1.00 x 1.20 x 1.09 x 1.32 x 1.35 = 2.33 (rounded)

233% chance of getting picked up. That sucker would get build TODAY!!!

That said, although I have a VIN, I want what I ordered. If anything was going to change, I would possibly add more constraint items, not less, for my needs.
If this formulas right my 2 door base with 2.7 and nothing else is at 0.472286724 or 47%

Think the world of you folks at Granger. Gold standard. When Ford gets around to building our Bronco, look forward to shaking your hand.

Glad I’m not paying 10-30k over sticker for the test run mannequins for sale(with delivery in seven months and countless butts in the seat)😉

You guys do it right there Zach. Thank you.

Based on this list I feel pretty good with my Black Diamond res (details in sig). Based on my October 1st reservation...I don't! I can wait for my beloved Bronco but getting tired of telling people outside the know "no, I can't just dump my reservation and get that Bronco (Sport) you saw at the dealer!". :)

May the odds be in your favor...

Hey @Zach@Granger , two questions fir you please:
(1) so what do you estimate this means for a Day 1 Reservation, Wildyrak 4D MIC, Lux, Mod bumper +Bar w 2.7L, So Cal small dealer? Am I looking at 2021 or early, mid or late 2022?

(2) why in the world has Ford not sent an update to UNscheduled customers at least letting them know what quarter/year they think their vehicle may be picked up to Prodctuon? Is their production forecasting capability really that bad?

1 - I really can't make an educated guess on this. I don't have enough pieces of the puzzle to tell you.

2 - Because they don't know either. I'm sure they are working as hard as they can to match the supply to the demand, but remember we were all suppose to have an idea in May? it is just too unpredictable at this point for Ford to tell everyone.

Thank you. I agree that Ford likely does not know when things will get done. While the Bronco sales numbers may may seem like great news to WalStreet types, the apparent cluelessness may be indicative of serious problems and inefficiencies in their supply chain. Ford may not care much about pissing off reservation holders w the lack of comms, but one has to wonder if they would change their mind if Wall Street analysts see this as indicative of larger issues at Ford.

My 2021 Raptor build MSRP is $68,010, about the same as the $500 over invoice I got on my 2020 Scab. It’s a far stretch from my $47K Badlands.

A fully built regular cab F-150 with the 5.0 and all options is now $49,860, might as well just get the Raptor with the higher resale.
Unless you need to tow more than the Raptor is equipped for. How much is that F150 with the 3.5? That would be a better comparison in price.

Are you 2 for real? Orders for 2021’s closed like 4 months ago. You can’t order a 2021 anymore.
Not correct. If a person makes a reservation/order today for a buildable unit, it is possible to skip way up in the line.

There has been no indication that is Ford is previewing dealer orders, that they are only going back to a certain date before they build dealer stock. I believe they are going through all dealer orders before stock.

That wasn't us, a brand new res with BB/2.3/ST would likely get built if there were no other constraints.

You're welcome to put another res with us if your intention is to buy it.
Correct, it was not Serramonte. I just figured if I was going to have to pay MSRP I might as well do it 20 minutes from my house.

I did shoot you off an email a day or two ago about the same topic. So if you think that I can make a reservation for a big bend and actually have a chance I might be interested.

Basically I would be buying it and then trading it in when WT gets in.
