This may have been addressed, but when you add the hard top to the B&P, will you still get the soft top that’s included?
I don't have that info yet, it's not clear in our communications with Ford. The hope I have is that normally when something is replaced, it's specified in the order guide (i.e. Hard top in lieu of soft top).

I hope it’s not “in lieu,” I hope it’s an add on! I want both.

11/4/2020 Edit:

Ladies and Gentlemen from outside California switching to us:

Since we are a licensed California Dealer, California's rules are that if the vehicle is driven on CA roads you have to pay CA sales tax. You don't have to pay registration, but there is a trip permit so that you can drive it out of state. The cost of the Trip permit is $22. Most states recognize taxes paid to California and will credit that upon registration in your home state. Check with your State's Tax Board and/or DMV to verify your state recognizes taxes paid outside of your state of registration.

Our business office has made it clear we have to charge sales tax for our municipality of Colma, CA which is 9.25% for out of state customers only.

Edit: To clarify, if you are a CA resident, you pay sales tax where you register your new Bronco in California, this update was for out of state customers as stated above.

I would be a bit more blunt. What are they smoking?

On a serious note:
CA Sales Tax = 7.25%
Count Sales Tax = Typically 1.25% to 1.75%
City/Town Sales Tax = Typically 0.25%

Out Of State buyers pay CA Sales Tax of 7.25% (I believe)
In State Buyers pay total of CA + County + City

One way trip out of the state without CA registration. It requires that you drive the most direct route to your final destination.

Our business office has it as we're required to collect sales tax where we are(Colma, CA), not the state minimum.

That's a bummer. Not cool for out-of-state buyers. Wonder if they can get a credit of the difference if their home state has lower sales tax than CA.

Yeah, it does suck, we only have a couple of out of staters at the moment and I've discussed this with them already, but I felt it important that we be transparent for future switchers.

I'm sure. On the other side of the country, so I have no dog in this fight, but it they are driving away out of state customers. Not good for businesses. Used to live close to the Delaware line. No sales tax. Made all major purchase there, instant 6% savings...

My tax rate in Eastern Washington is 8.9%. Not a huge difference in the grand scheme of things. I will pay the difference just to have a decent dealer to work with. Also you can write off any over payment on your federal tax return if needed.
Thanks again @Gloff for being upfront and clear about your tax.
