On another thread, folks were talking about reservations vs. Allocations and @Gloff mentioned how numbers are not allowed to be revealed at this point per Ford's policy.

I mean you have demonstrated your desire to be as transparent as you can on multiple occasions, so I know if you could, you would.

So I Definitely do not want to get Serramonte Ford or you in Hot Water... but is there anything you can enlightening us Serramonte Reservation Holders with?

Frankly if "numbers" are the naughty word, I could care less. I don't even want to know. But are you able to at least give us some insite as to if you feel that Serramonte will be able to cover our Reservations with your allocations? Are we getting close? I know originally there was a cut off for reservation changes, but then that got expanded.

So of course it is a bit unsettling to think Ford might dish out another blow to reservation holders, simply because we want to go with a dealer that offers actual customer service! God forbid!

No one knows how the allocation will shake out because the data is incomplete. You would have to know all three factors: how many conversions, how many competitive registrations, and each store's sales data from the past year. Not even Ford knows for sure since they won't know the conversion data until March 19, 2021. Any dealer that claims to know is speculating.

Take a 10,000 ft view of the situation, Ford wants to sell everyone a Bronco, there are limitations to capacity and supply chain. There is a lot of planning involved, and I personally think Ford has been very transparent. Before Bronco, commodity constraints and allocation were terms not used outside internal conversations. 90% of dealer staff don't even know what those terms mean, let alone the general public.

This alternative is far better for the consumer than a typical model launch. If this we're handled like a regular launch, it ends up with huge markups because of the massive demand and low supply.

Ah....thanks for the info. I was reading like the dealers and ford knew, but where not allowed to tell us ... which was going to lead up to a big ole Gotcha in the end.

I didn't realize that so much of this was still being sorted out. You watch that video and it sounded like things were set it stone already.

Well here's crossing our fingers then!

I totally get it. we have three employees in the same boat with day one reservations. Having seen many new vehicle launches in my 10 years with Serramonte Ford, I'm not worried. I think Ford has done a fine job, and continue to have confidence in the process.

Question for you @Gloff ..... the "Capable" bumper is an Accessory and not part of the same section as the HD Modular.

IF we were to add that to our Bronco, does that mean you guys would have to install it once our Bronco showed up? (If so, what happens to our Orig Bumper?) Is this different than say the Tube Steps if we add those?

I'm just looking for options that may increase delays or possibly extra charges by the Dealer per Fords little disclaimer.

If the bumper is DIO labor should be included, if it's an accessory we have to order, its not. Original bumper is yours to keep or we can recycle it. The exception is if there's a core charge.

Bronco6G!

Thank you so much for your support! Because of the large following on B6G, we converted at what we believe to be one of the highest rates in the nation. We're not sure when we'll get our final allocation number, but we're exited to work with everyone who ordered!

As always, you can reach me with any questions at [email protected] or you can call me at my desk 650-301-7084.

I'll still be floating around the forum, so feel free to use the @Gloff shoutout and I'll be happy to jump in!

Thank you Bronco6G!
