Sean's not an engineer, he's a salesman at a dealership. I think we should just stick to the reservation/ sales aspects specific to Serramonte for the moment.

Sean my question echos Matt Boston's. I received this from your GM, so this is now changed?

The statement from your GM shows the mindset of your owner.That is very concerning

Like I said, most dealerships are not going to touch the Granger and Stevens deal.

In 2010 when the Raptor came out, only 2 dealerships in the entire country had an official policy of invoice and no other dealers would commit to invoice.

goodluck!
Just wait until they see @Granger Ford 's new deal. They will poop their pants.

@Gloff
Will Serramonte Ford be able to go below x-plan pricing? As you already know, there is a large interest in this type of deal.

I understand that no Bay Area dealer will be able to come close to matching Granger type offers. However, if your dealership is willing to go below x-plan pricing, you'll convince a lot of reservations to switch to you.

How many commitments do you need in order for your dealership to seriously entertain this idea? PM if you can not say in public. I'm sure all of us who are interested can work via PM to get the numbers needed.
I'm in Prescott AZ and I would be willing to drive out there for a deal .So far in Arizona x-plane is it.

Frankly, the demand is such that I find it interesting Granger is offering anything close to invoice, let alone below, and good on them for doing it. I don't know how many reservations they'll end up with, but I'm not sure the sort of numbers required to move the needle are within the realm of possibility. Think about it: 1% of total nationwide reservations to date would be 1650 units.

That said, I will speak with Matt on a Bronco6G specific offer, I did something similar with the Focus RS at the RS Forum years ago.

You didn't answer even one of my questions. You wasted my time with a bunch of useless information that completely avoids the questions. And took the time to insert URLs to sites and information I don't give two Fs about. Then topped it off with a "We're all anxious to get our Broncos blah, blah, blah." Basically using my question to brag about your product. If you only knew how repulsive that kind of response is to a buyer. It's the stuff they were teaching back in the 1990s, and it doesn't work anymore. (Hint: People can see right through it, and they don't like being manipulated.)

You Ford people should understand that your customers are every bit as bright as you are, and stop treating us like fools. Some of us are highly educated, extremely intelligent, and have decades of sales and marketing experience. Some of us have been customers long enough to know a BSer when we see one. And some of us are just tired of getting jerked around.

Thank you for your "transparency." You're about as transparent as the dozen or so other Ford dealerships that I've called in the past month.

No need to respond. If I want a commercial I'll turn on the TV.
Hey, I appreciate the feedback.

@sjp OUTSTANDING, thank you.

@Gloff admitted upfront he was an average salesperson so I don't think anyone of thought this thread was anything more than an infomercial for his dealership.
Well, I'd consider myself far from average on vehicle knowledge. Please reserve your judgement of my abilities until you've had a chance to have a conversation with me, I'll be sure to do the same for you.

As I've said, I'm not here to convert orders to our store, any that do I consider a bonus. I didn't come out and say I'll offer you a discount if you convert your order to Serramonte! I don't need to be here, and if the general consensus is that I'm not welcome, I'll delete the account.

Forgive me for trying to have some sort of outreach, the level of hostility from some members is astounding. I could stand by idly, or I could participate. I've chosen the latter. As my store's Bronco Specialist, I find it important to be involved. As an vehicle enthusiast, I want to be involved.

Thanks Sean. If you ever hear anything or are asked about the community opinion on the matter please relay back and forth. There is a small but passionate population on this forum that is very concerned about the towing. Small but passionate, just like the stick shift crowd that Ford catered to at what must have been a much larger investment than a max tow package would be.
I'm actually in your camp, as I have an old boat that will be on the borderline of the towing capabilities of Bronco. Any info I get, will share.

I didn’t realize that Ford still has to decide if and what trim Broncos will qualify for Xplan. Anyone have any further info on this? I just thought Xplan applies across the board of dealer is accepting it.
Ford usually exempts high performance or special editions from plan pricing. As an example Mustangs qualify for AZXD plans, but GT500s, while technically part of the Mustang model line, don't qualify. Once the order bank opens, we'll know what trims if any qualify for X-Plan.

The one question I found in your post was at the end “Can you tell us all what’s going on?” Sean’s shorter response should have been “I signed on Bronco 6g today, I have no idea what’s going on and even if I did, I probably couldn’t tell you”. I want to hear Ford’s official position on this as well but I don’t think beating up a local internet sales dealer gets us closer to an answer. I also think Sean might be in the “good guy” category like Eric in San Diego and Albert in Iowa.
Thank you.

The statement from your GM shows the mindset of your owner.That is very conserving.
I assume that you meant concerning.

That's one way to look at it. You could also view the glass half full, he's reversed course on that, and we will honor eligible AZXD-Plan eligible customer reservations.
