Interesting must be a demo unit.

Edit: Our demo Wildtrak is also showing soft top. I was told by our contact that Ford pulled HTs from as many demos as possible to save that production for customer orders. This won't be an option for retail customers
Of course ford...it would be too easy to just add it as an option.

Hey, why don't you sell your demo to me and you can have my WT when it comes in ;)

@Gloff ... Have you guys been able to catch up on all your mic --> soft top order changes?

I wanted to give a chance for the dust to settle before I reach out and find out what impact it had on my place in line (but before the Ford Deadline)

I won't know what impact it will have since my spreadsheet doesn't have options on it. We have only had about 5 roof changes thus far though.

@Gloff

Not sure if you've been keeping up on the board or not, but there's a lot of quality issues with the MIC tops coming out. It seems the problems range from cosmetic scratches and deformations, to straight up delaminating.

Some are suggesting to go over the top with a magnifying glass before leaving the dealer to document every imperfection.

What is your suggestions on how we should deal with this? Obviously we want our best chance at getting Ford to replace our tops under warranty once they sort out the issues.

We're documenting any issues we find. Customers should definitely inspect them upon delivery, take photos and let the dealer know. We're passing what we find to the Ford and Bronco engineering teams, and customer finds are helpful.

Hey @Gloff,

Like others I got your email giving us the update about the MIC tops and being 2022.

I was about ready to email you and switch from a WT to a BL with a soft top, but then I read on this board that even BLs are not getting scheduled until 2022. (Basically if you don't have a VIN, you're not getting a 21, shoet of FEs)

Did you hear anything along those lines?

If I were to switch to a BL, at what point have I lost the 2021 race and should go back to a WT?

Is there any truth to the rumor that if you haven't gotten the email that was sent out last week and you have a buildable unit, that you may, in fact have not gotten an email because your order is in preview?

Badlands is still being built and scheduled with soft tops. The other commodities have not been affected to my knowledge. Hard top is the only non-buildable item right now (save for already scheduled and FE).

If you change to BL with soft top and it doesn't get built for 2021 MY, you'll be able to go back to a WT/HT in 2022. Your order has to be resubmitted if your truck isn't built as a 2021, so you'll know you've lost the race when I email and ask for your 2022 specifications.

Is there any truth to the rumor that if you haven't gotten the email that was sent out last week and you have a buildable unit, that you may, in fact have not gotten an email because your order is in preview?
No, previews are on Tuesday, once scheduling occurs, you'd have to wait until next week to see if you schedule.

I'm wondering if those of us at Serramonte are basically in a Granger situation but don't know it. Granger has been pretty forthcoming with their allocations, and they even posted their "line" So people can see where they're at.

Would love some more information from Serramonte to give us some idea how things stand And if some of us are looking at 2023+

Mine went from could be a MY21, to likely a MY22, a good chance in MY22, to probably a MY22, to currently unsure at all.
Between supply chain issues, chip shortages, and now the war in eastern Europe, I'm resigned to a MY23. This is with a reservation 8/10/2020.

The thing that bugs me is that Ford's price protection doe noting for me as my order is linked to the invoice price. As we all know, this number keeps going up each model year.

Price protection should still apply even with serramonte's "xplan" deal... It better be!

Maybe I'm wrong but I'm under the impression, that Serramonte will take the actual invoice of whichever Bronco you get, price increases and all, and then you will get Ford's price protection rebate in addition to, this lowering you back down to what a 2021 Invoice Price would have been. Of course assuming you're eligible for price protection.

@Gloff .... Can you shed some light?
