Price protection should still apply even with serramonte's "xplan" deal... It better be!

Maybe I'm wrong but I'm under the impression, that Serramonte will take the actual invoice of whichever Bronco you get, price increases and all, and then you will get Ford's price protection rebate in addition to, this lowering you back down to what a 2021 Invoice Price would have been. Of course assuming you're eligible for price protection.

@Gloff .... Can you shed some light?
Yeah,

We're going to have to figure it all out. There are two price protections at play: The Rebate, and the credit we receive from Ford. We'll get it sorted out either way.

It has been a while, thought I'd check in and see if anyone has been taking delivery of their Broncos?

Basically...is the line moving? @Gloff ?
For us, there was no May wholesale, and I suspect that's true of a lot of dealers because of the recent microchip shortage. We've always had a good % of soft top, so we always fill all our allocation in a given month. We should get our next wholesale in the next week/two.

I'm wondering if those of us at Serramonte are basically in a Granger situation but don't know it. Granger has been pretty forthcoming with their allocations, and they even posted their "line" So people can see where they're at.

Would love some more information from Serramonte to give us some idea how things stand And if some of us are looking at 2023+
Everyone is in a Granger situation, it's really hard to predict timing because of the supply chain issues. Ford's cadence was relatively predictable (within the major constraints of HT/Tow) from October through February, but now, it's really hard to see since a bunch of builds were moved and we didn't get a wholesale in May. We still have just over 250 unscheduled orders.

Good news is all of our 7/13 reservations that were ordered have been fulfilled. We have 29 7/14 res still outstanding and 66 first week reservations still outstanding (including Raptor Handraisers).

Of those 66, 15 are Two Door (22%, which is slightly more than the most recent commodity info I could find of 19%, but less than our total take rate since reservations opened of about 30%)

Ford's commodity suggestions still apply: Order a soft top and without a tow package if you want it quicker. Hard top is still around 82% of all orders, capacity is 55%. (again, as of most recent information available to me)

There's an ~18% disparity between orders with tow package and available production capacity, which is why Ford is suggesting to remove it for faster scheduling.

This is based on information available before the recent microchip and other supply chain disruptions, so it's of course subject to change.

I believe Sean is working with his regional rep to get more clarity on how the price protection would work for us.

Wow thanks for all that great info. I was starting to worry you weren't out there anymore.

It is so great to know that you're able to move some product and reduce the wait line. I believe I'm part of the 66 (Guess it depends on what you consider 1st week)... So maybe there is some light at the end of the tunnel.

I know it's not your guys' fault, but I'm seriously getting impatient and sick of seeing Broncos driving around everywhere I live. I can hardly go out anymore without seeing 1 or 2.

No May wholesale? Nothing coming up in May at all? Were there any for March or April?

I’ve apparently been stalled at #20 for the last couple of months with no movement while a friend of mine reserved nearly my identical build (Badlands Sasquatch with MIC & tow) on 7/15/2020 (a full day after my reservation) at another local dealership and has a vin and scheduled build week of 4/25/2022. Looks like its gonna be another long summer and fall. Any word when the MY23 order banks open up?

All it takes is one part not available. Things are getting worse.

We did get March and April wholesales, just May got skipped because of the supply chain, lots of builds pushed back. As the previous poster stated, it only takes one part to get a build skipped.

I get it. Rhetorically speaking, since the only difference in orders are 2 door vs 4 door and MGV vs leather, does that equate to constraints on 2 doors and marine grade vinyl? Probably not. I suspect it has more to do with dealer allocation.

A lot of dealers have used up their allocations, so that certainly plays a big part. The whole thing is a big mess.

Actually, it's probably the two door, since that is one of the biggest constraints

That's not how it works allocation is throughout the year, and is doled out month by month in the wholesale. Our store has plenty of allocation.

There are still significantly more orders than available production, which is be exasperated by the supply chain challenges.

I did mean monthly allocation. I follow Tim Bartz at Long McArthur Ford and he talks frequently about monthly allocation. He went down the entire list of models in last night's video.

I can't speak for all stores, just mine, we received no allocation for May as a result of all the orders that were pushed from March and April to May. June should be much better, hopefully.

So for those of us that are at the top-ish of your list, when might we start seeing VIN/Build dates start up again? Not until June? Are you able to tell someone if their order has even ever been previewed/Considered?

I'm stuck watching my current vehicle deppreciate while prices for aftermarket accessories appreciate and the gap between the two is getting quite large.

Scheduling is next week, all of our allocation should schedule in theory. I can communicate preview, but that doesn't guarantee scheduling. Typically, I let the system send the email out. If someone calls on a Thursday and it's scheduled I will give that info, but we have 56 scheduling this wholesale (June/July Production) which would be quite cumbersome to communicate all the individual build dates/VINs, that's what the Ford emails are for.
