Frankly, the demand is such that I find it interesting Granger is offering anything close to invoice, let alone below, and good on them for doing it. I don't know how many reservations they'll end up with, but I'm not sure the sort of numbers required to move the needle are within the realm of possibility. Think about it: 1% of total nationwide reservations to date would be 1650 units.

That said, I will speak with Matt on a Bronco6G specific offer, I did something similar with the Focus RS at the RS Forum years ago.
Thanks for checking. The poll is up to 47 that would switch now. I still bet you would get more than that. There are lot's of things to see and do in SF that would help people to justify a trip.

Well, I'd consider myself far from average on vehicle knowledge. Please reserve your judgement of my abilities until you've had a chance to have a conversation with me, I'll be sure to do the same for you.

As I've said, I'm not here to convert orders to our store, any that do I consider a bonus. I didn't come out and say I'll offer you a discount if you convert your order to Serramonte! I don't need to be here, and if the general consensus is that I'm not welcome, I'll delete the account.

Forgive me for trying to have some sort of outreach, the level of hostility from some members is astounding. I could stand by idly, or I could participate. I've chosen the latter. As my store's Bronco Specialist, I find it important to be involved. As an vehicle enthusiast, I want to be involved.
It's my hope that you stick around and can somehow ignore the arrogance, ignorance, and uneducated, unwarranted hostility towards you. Those do not represent the majority. We're willing to work with you.

Additionally, we Bay Area buyers are willing to move to one location. Due to your willingness to be here, I'm more willing to rally around Serramonte than elsewhere. But as you can see, money talks around here. Hell, even free swag is a high motivator. ?

That is noted, where is this poll, I haven't explored the forums much yet.

I think there's been a handful of minor fumbles on the part of FoMoCo since the reveal, starting with the awful reservation experience and several transparency issues and lies from them since. I think because of that, the forums are going to have a lot of disgruntled and annoyed fans hanging around here salivating for the chance to bark at someone that works for Ford in some capacity.

Personally, I appreciate you coming on and sharing as much as you can without losing your job. It's good to get some feedback from somebody. And speaking as someone that purchased a Ford vehicle in the Bay Area in the past two years, shopping around at the majority of the many Ford stores, I would like to see more of what you and others like Granger are doing.

Some of the Ford options in the Bay Area are the lowest of low when it comes to the stereotypical slimey dealership image. (No offense to you I hope, it is what it is). It's understandable considering the strength of the economy here, I doubt you have to worry much about bending over backward to make a sale. People here have money and if they're going to come buy a mustang, that's that.

My point is, I think people expect the traditional type of transaction from salesmen like you. Great customer service, cater to thier needs, offer an attractive deal, and make a sale, no strings attached. Between the popularity of the vehicle and the limited information, people are going to be a bit impolite when anything less is offered.

After my 2018 Ford purchase, I'm personally just looking for a dealer to be transparent and forthcoming with information. Obviously the Granger deal is an outlier and a very specific approach to this vehicle launch but I think, according to the rumors about fulfillment and future allocation on this vehicle, that a decent discount as a good faith gesture would go a long way. This vehicle is built to rival jeep and encourage owners to mod, add on, accessorize, ect. I'd like to find the right dealer to be the GO-TO dealership for all things Bronco. Part and accessory orders, repairs (I'm definitely wheeling mine), routine maintenance, ect. I really dislike some of the stores in the East Bay so anyone willing to step up and even come close to the customer service we've seen from the Granger guys is much appreciated.

Welcome aboard. Any Bronco insight or information you can add to our forum is greatly appreciated. Thank you for checking in. Any word if the First Edition will be offering different interior color choices, other than Navy Pier? Thanks in advance.

@Boston182, the arrogance of your reply is best answered by @sjp
If you only knew how repulsive that kind of response is to a buyer.
You Ford people should understand that your customers are every bit as bright as you are, and stop treating us like fools. Some of us are highly educated, extremely intelligent, and have decades of sales and marketing experience. Some of us have been customers long enough to know a BSer when we see one. And some of us are just tired of getting jerked around.
@Gene Dios, you are so correct, there is a high bar for dealerships to overcome the sterotype and earn respect.

How the hell am I on trial here? I'm merely defending someone whose sole intention here is to help. He doesn't need to be here. Whether you see him as merely advertising or not, he's here to answer questions to the best of his ability. Wouldn't you rather nurture the possibilities of that relationship than burn it down immediately?

He's never insulted our intelligence. I, too, have a decade of marketing experience. And at corporate levels. I understand bullshit as much as the rest. But all of your inability to even give the benefit of the doubt shows that you're all a bunch of needy fanboys who would rather show hostility towards a helping hand and be seen as the expert over someone who actually works for Ford. They might not have all the answers, but they're more in-tune with communication than we are.

Ffs. You're all a bunch of sensitive snowflakes. And that's coming from a "liberal millennial." Grow up.

I agree with everything said here. This is my dream vehicle and I'm looking for a long term partner and will happily drive across the Bay Bridge for all my accessories and service. (As long as I don't have to be on the bridge from 7am to 9am or 4pm to 7pm!)

You didn't answer even one of my questions. You wasted my time with a bunch of useless information that completely avoids the questions. And took the time to insert URLs to sites and information I don't give two Fs about. Then topped it off with a "We're all anxious to get our Broncos blah, blah, blah." Basically using my question to brag about your product. If you only knew how repulsive that kind of response is to a buyer. It's the stuff they were teaching back in the 1990s, and it doesn't work anymore. (Hint: People can see right through it, and they don't like being manipulated.)

Thank you for your "transparency." You're about as transparent as the dozen or so other Ford dealerships that I've called in the past month.

No need to respond. If I want a commercial I'll turn on the TV.
Wow. I don't think I've seen such a rude or inhospitable response in a while. Dude came here to try to help out (and even made it clear that his goal is not to convert reservations from other dealerships to his own), because there's obviously a ton of misinformation and misunderstanding about the entire process. He is not an engineer/designer or on the assembly line, he's not an executive in charge of the big decisions, he's a salesman and enthusiast who came here to try to help clear things up for us where he can. Obviously there's things he can't disclose - despite some people feeling like it's their 'right' to know every detail of how the entire process works, including Fords' internal policies/processes - and he is trying to steer discussion back to what he CAN discuss. I actually found some of his responses to be helpful.

Perhaps if you're so bitter about all of it SJP, maybe you should just go buy a freakin Jeep and not be such a dick online.

@Boston182 you have been on the forum and contributed great information many times, so welcome to the fanboys club. But seriously, as a car buyer, I look at every vehicle I buy as a tool, I want to learn what features and functions that tool has, that what us engineers do, it has nothing to do with being a fanboy.
How the hell am I on trial here?
Your not, I'm just pointing out the fact you called the rest of us "arrogance, ignorance, and uneducated"
I'm merely defending someone whose sole intention here is to help. They might not have all the answers, but they're more in-tune with communication than we are.
We welcome new dealers with additional knowledge about the Bronco. There are a number of other dealers on the forum who have earned the members respect for the information they have provided. Unfortunately @Gloff joined the forum right when Ford blew the place up with their change of policy on reservations. When we asked questions we heard, I don't know, I can't say or the typical spin answer you expect from a salesperson, this does not inspire our confidence that he is "more in-tune with communication than we are".

Do dealerships regularly let you swap out tires on arrival and pay the difference?

good question - I'd love to have the option to upgrade the wheels/tires on the OBX when I purchase, instead of having to go aftermarket

I would be interested in changing dealers, not so much for a great deal (I have X-plan), but for a connection with the dealer. Future Ford, Walnut Creek Ford have not made any effort to reach out.
