I'm the guy that stands there and stares at the battery for a minute making sure I got the positive/negative right on my air compressor before I air up. I'm ADHD like that! FRRRRIIIZZZZIIIIP!!!That's a valid fear. Realistically simply disconnecting the battery and keeping the ground close to where you're welding eliminates virtually all the risk though. For most I think the apprehension is more that it's just a very new expensive vehicle, sometimes leased, but almost always with a payment, and permanent mods feel sketchy. I get it, I spent quite a bit of time treating my Bronco with kid gloves before finally swallowing hard and getting out the sawzall![]()
