Just installed the front seat covers today. Pretty easy to install, the seatback and base covers are one piece, and there are straps under the seat to hold the tucked seam in place. Fit is good, matches up well to the factory seats, so it looks good. Will update later on how well it stays put.

Trying for a lighter color for a bit less heat in the seat, buy they have all the colors too. This is Kryptek Wraith camoflage.

Right now, my only beef, which is only partially with Coverking, is that the front and back seat covers shipped separately, so the back seat covers have not arrived yet. I suspect that is more a UPS issue, but if they had been in one box, it would not have happened. On the other hand, that might have cost more to ship, so I understand potentially why they made the decision.

Also took the opportunity to upgrade a soft Molle pannel that hung from the headrest to a BuiltRight seatback rigid molle panel to get rid of some straps and tighten up the mounting.

I think my grandma has those seats in her living room. šŸ˜‚

Just teasing. I love the saddle brown ones from the presser photos but the katzkin ones are another option.

Iā€™m on the hunt for something that will give relief of the constant back sweat these MGV covers produce. I hate these things. I have a take off set of OEM Big Bend cloth covers I was going to swap out but not really wanting to tear into the seats so if these sheepskins help with back sweats Iā€™d be all in!!

YEEESSSSS!!! I like the MGV, but for long trips when it is even slightly warm outside, I want to do something so I don't sweat so much.

These are neoprene, so maybe a bit better than MGV for the swamp-butt, probably not an eliminator for it, at least from a breathability standpoint. I am hoping that light colors holds the temperature down significantly, and cuts down the back sweat, while still being somewhat waterproof. We'll see how that works out. I have had a lot of experience with Wet Okole covers and thought they were OK, but they mostly come in 50% or more black, so they get pretty warm pretty fast.

Since these are neoprene, will they not burn the back of my wife's legs if the seats are in the sun? We are in Phoenix and she has to cover the seats with a shirt or something so her legs don't get burnt.

The neoprene has a knit surface (nylon maybe?). I have not had any problems with burning skin in contact, and I did have a neoprene cover on the console armrest for quite a while, and have had neoprene seat covers for about 12 years in several vehicles. However, I don't live in Phoenix, it may be worse there. I do think it would be much better than vinyl, as the surface is not the relatively smooth --high contact area, that vinyl gives. I think it would be better, but I can't say for sure.

Looks good.
I'm curious, my Bronco is raised a bit so I kinda slide out of it when exiting. How well do these seat covers grab the seat? The upholstery is tight so there isn't a problem with me exiting but it seems like there could be an issue with a 'seat cover' stretching over time with my weight sliding over it. Your thoughts?

Last neoprene covers I had turned to dust after 3 years exposed to sunlight. Not sure if this is the nature of the beast or just got a cheap fabric but Iā€™ve always been leery of neoprene since.

I had other neoprene covers for about 3 years in this Bronco (Base w/ Sasquatch so you can judge how yours might sit relative to it), and they did tend to shift over (towards the center, which I thought was somewhat odd). These have a different retention system, and I am going to see how it works, but they also came with an anti-shift pad, that looks like the waffle stuff you can get for area rugs in your house, that goes under the seat cover on the base, and is supposed to keep it from shifting. We'll see. I had to move the seat covers back every few weeks previously, I hope this is better, or at least easier :).

I have some Wet Okole's in another car that are 12 years old, and while they are a bit faded near the windows, they have not fallen appart. Wet Okole does sell some products that are supposed to renew the UV treatment when you clean the covers, but honestly, I haven't used them very often on any car (every 5 years to never), and I have not seen that much UV damage. That being said, I am not in AZ or TX or anything like that, and these cars were not "top-off" kind of vehicles, so the amount of sun exposure may be a lot lower. I'm not too worried about it, for myself, if I need to replace covers every 3-5 years, it is a chance to change up the look a bit too.

Thank you for your reply.

I have no experience with neoprene seats. Just leather and fabric.

I have an '02 F350 that really needs new leather seats, the Bronco is just a want, not a need. Eventually I am going to wear out the cloth seats where I slide in and out of the Bronco.

I will change the seat covers eventually but at $2k (leather) for each vehicle it will require saving my 'coins' to raise the funds.

If there was a cheaper solution for the Bronco I was all for it.

Installed the back seat covers too, they were about a week behind the front covers, no idea why, but the UPS tracking was chaos, so it may be UPS' fault. Installation is very simple, no tricks here. The seatbacks slip over, there is velcro to close things out, the seat bottoms hold on with straps. Very straightforward. The black areas around the seatbelts are kind of a nylon/Cordura type material that should take the friction here better. Those areas would be pretty high friction if I had back seat passengers much.

Also, I have had an issue with the left side of the driver's seat pulling out. It is only held in by a tab on the seatcover, that has a piece of tubular foam or something like that sewn into it. it comes up pretty frequently for me. My first fix is to run some shock cord through the tab and hook it off under the seat. To get it through, I used a "fid" paracord tool (shown below) and jammed that through the tab, then pulled the shock cord through, tied it in a loop and ran it under the seat.

You can find the "fid" on Amazon or anywhere that sells tools for paracord crafting.
