I have been compiling this info from forum threads and from manufactures when they share it. I have attempted to be as accurate as possible. PLEASE fill in missing info or let me know if you have a correction. I intend this to be a fluid document. I really would like specs on the Hoss 3.0 but have not been able to find them.

I'm curious about the Bilstein numbers on these two charts. One says Bilstein Sas, the other says stock Badlands, which I assume is non-sas. But both numbers seem to be basically the same which doesn't sound right.

Are you confident that the stock shocks have the same rate for the different body styles and engines? It’s my understanding that the shock for a 2 door 2.3 carries different spring rates than a 2.7 4 door for example, given the different vehicle mass.

It seems to be a mystery still, unless I missed a thread about it. I think the OG stock suspension measurements thread shows the difference between Sasquatch and Special suspension, and the Sasquatch or "high ride" suspension was a bit longer, contributing to ride height, and it was mentioned before that the Sasquatch bump stops were bigger, to prevent tires contacting the fenders, but that was debunked in another thread. Also, Ford states the Badlands special suspension has the most travel, so wtf is going on. Squatch is longer, keeps the tires away from fenders, but the special suspension has more compression or extension?

Yeah that is interesting. I could swear I had seen measurements a long time ago Side by side. I'll have to measure mine the next time I have it torn apart and can at least get the extended length on Badlands non-sas. Just to see if there is any difference. Actually now that I think about it I should be doing my perch collar lift in the near future and could get compressed for the shock itself as well.

That'd be sweet. Some side by side measurements would be cool to see. Get to the bottom of this once and for all.

Would you be willing to email the chart to me so I could print it?

Good data included here. We recently started a thread very similar to this as linked above.

I’ll look to include some of these spring rates if we can confirm some references!

My stock numbers are the least accurate/verified. the length is for Bilstein SAS, but I have found 2 slightly different stock lengths quoted in different places, but they are very similar. As for stock spring rates. That is a middle of the road average of what I have yet. So far I can not find any verified stock spring rates. The after market spring rates are all straight from the manufacture via email or published data sheet.

Did you ever get the HOSS 3.0 Fox shocks measurements?
