Short bed raptor is *not* bronco related

Nope. Full size raptor SUV is not a thing, too much canibalization. Doesn’t mean they can’t expand the F-150 raptor line though.

I'm really confused as to why they would make a reg cab short box raptor pickup. I mean, it would be totally sweet, for the 12 people who would buy one.

And if it's not going to be an SUV, and it's not going to be a RCSB pickup...what could it be?

EDIT: Or, OR, Ford is working on a Rally Fighter competitor. Mustang Raptor!

That's my thought. The only people that can afford a Raptor (and want one) pretty much universally need a 4 door.

That doesn't mean its not an eventual possibility. Like I said before. If this thing sells like they are anticipating, there are a lot of other ideas on the board at ford HQ.
I know of 3 4x4....not "awd" projects in either early stages of R&D or internal concepts that are towards the top of the pile at ford.

I'm still not convinced about the 2 door part (why not have more doors if you have the space for them?), but this would certainly seem to be pointing towards a large off-road SUV of some form.

Lol I WISH! But I am willing to bet, somebody has floated the idea. It was never a sales volume king. I wish the expedition could pull more though. The inside of the new ones gives you that same roomy feel the excursion did.
