About 6 weeks ago an acquaintance let me drive his 2023 Sasquatched Badlands, just on the road. Fond memories of a jeep I drove for 3 months in high school (before I totaled it) came flooding back. So I hatched a plan to make a purchase sooner rather than later, found this forum, and been obsessively reading/viewing and absorbing everything Bronco, or at least so my wife informs me ;)

However, I have been discouraged by these current prices and had been assuming I would have to fly to Phoenix, or at least Alburquerque to get anything at a price I could swallow, and had even started looking at the currently heavily discounted Wranglers. Then last night I noticed my local Ford dealer has a Sasquatched Big Bend with a 2.3 and a manual no less! The price, though still too high is at least something I can consider. I want to get into some moderate wheeling before I get too old and current Badland prices are just too rich (for me). I figure I can get some proper after market skids for $1k or so, and perhaps those Boss "Walker Link" sway bar shocks will satisfy my thirst for a sway disconnect solution. The color (carbonized gray metallic) is not my favorite but my wife seems to like it and I would rather have a soft top but those are so few and far between...did I mention it's a 2.3 with a manual?!

In any case the dealer knows he probably has his fish because he let me drive it home for the next 2 days:

<100 miles, I have them down to $52K and some change before tax/registration, probably won't get them any lower...

edit: It has 4A as well, which surprised as I had thought that was an auto-transmission only functionality and not to be found on a Big Bend trim level. Maybe a special order?

4A standard on the Sasquatch package.

Ask anyone here if you should buy a Bronco, and 98% of the time, the answer will be yes.😉 Regardless of the details of the deal. It's just money. But a Bronco, it's not just another vehicle.

2 years later, I still smile every time I get in. 😁

Nice Bronco. What is the actual MSRP? Any other dealer fees?

Hey Crenca,
Do not buy this Bronco!
I say this as it is not the colour you want, and it does not have all of the bells and whistles that you want.
Take your time and buy the Bronco that YOU want. There are enough out there that you will be able to find YOUR Bronco.
Once you find YOUR Bronco, then you can begin negotiating. The dealer knows that giving you the Bronco to drive for two days will generally convince you to fall in love and buy it. Resist and get the one that YOU want!

The smiling every time - 100%. My current isn’t my first but have had one for 2 1/2 years and feels like just driving it off the lot. That said, have upgraded to the one I want so make sure it’s the one you want.

I actually agree with this. At the very least, I would keep looking online for other options that might check more boxes in the next day or two, while you still are mulling this one over.

Window Sticker is 57k, so a mix of Ford rebate and dealer "discount" to get to 52K which includes all dealer line items (i.e. "fees", etc.), then add NM tax/registration to that. This matches the 5K below sticker was what I was being quoted from dealers in Phoenix, Tucson, Alburquerque, etc. for anything I wanted. I believe I could do a bit better in Houston (getting to 7, 8, possibly even 9k below sticker) but that would be a two day haul back home. I did notice two broncos (one was a badlands I believe) Sasquatched with 2.3's and manuals at dealers in Houston, though both were black which I definitely do not want.

Good points. A couple of weeks ago our minivan died (not worth fixing), so we are down to 2 vehicles in a household that needs 3.79 for normative operation . Truth be told I'm leveraging these circumstances because my better half really only wants me to purchase a highway cruiser such as an Explorer or equivalent there of, so I'm injecting a bit of (artificial true) urgency into the situation to get what I want  :) . Truth is I really only want the Badlands over the content of this vehicle for the skids/sway disconnect, but also because they tend to be $optioned$ with dual climate, adaptive cruise - things the wife notices but are neither here nor there for me - and are always 2.7/auto's, which I believe might be a 2024/2025 model requirement from Ford...maybe?

You got a solid point about the color fur sur, I will muse on it...
