Can I change to the BFG’s even tho it’s past the March deadline?
Yes. Absolutely. That “deadline” doesn’t mean anything in terms of this.

You can change it all you want up until the VIN is assigned.

If it's for looks, it won't matter either way. Get the ones you think look cool.

I’ve ran the KO2’s forever. Love them.

I never thought about this. I planned to get stock BL wheels and go aftermarket with KO2s... You think the upgraded ones would fetch that much more in the used market?
Hell no. That’s just the fantasy I’ve concocted to justify my own poor decision making.

My view, the up charge for the MTs are not worth it. I’ve ordered the wheels but not the MTs - figure when the KOs wear out, I’ll see what the reviews are on the MTs, and decide between KOs, MTs and Duratracs.

BFG KO2s are some of the best balanced off road tires you can buy. Are they as good in the muck as Nitto, no. As extreme as some Mickey's on the rocks, no.

But....

Good road manners, good wet performance, good snow performance, reliability, good wear, build quality; it's hard to beat the KO2. I think of them as a good tire for overlanding rather than rock crawling, so on any loose ground they're a solid ride.

Not sure of what I think of the Goodyear that comes standard on the Squatch. Likely, they're solid on road and comfortable, while average or slightly below average off road, but will be well constructed which for most guys will be more than good enough and capable.

.2 cents

I can not identify a TRIPLE PEAK LOGO anywhere on the Goodyears. BFGS are triple peak ceretified. Meaning they are basically equivalent to snow chains.

Literally from your link:

Note: 3PMSF-branded all-season and all-terrain tires cannot match the traction of dedicated winter / snow tires in all winter weather conditions and should not be considered a replacement for where and when a dedicated winter tire is needed.
Not only are they not equivalent to snow chains, they aren’t even equivalent to snow tires.

That said, I still always go for 3 peak on vehicles I’m not planning on swapping out tires seasonally on.

I’m going the cheap option with the BFGs, then will put the Wranglers on when the BFGs wear out.

I opted for the optional badlands wheels as well... With the bfgs. I already have some fuel wheels waiting with some Toyo Open Country CT 33's waiting. I believe they are triple peak lol
