Here is our tree yesterday, sticking out the back. Next time I will cut a v notch in a 2x4 to support the tree without it resting on the tailgate. Maybe even a towel or blanket between tree and tailgate.. Only had to travel 4 miles and

only got a little sap transfer but after we ate driving I thought. Hey this could scratch the the top edge

I just put my hitch basket on the Bronco and strapped the tree to it. It stuck out about a foot on either side but no sap or damage to the truck.

A pre-lit fake tree that has pine scented branches comes up from my basement every year.
