I am not considering the manual trans for 2 reasons:

1.) It’s not offered in the 2.7 twin turbo v6
2.) I really like the 10-speed auto trans teamed with the v6

However I am happy that they are offering this for those that want it.

After 44 years of rowing my own gears, I'm looking forward to my first automatic trans. But, I totally get the have to have a standard.

I would be doing it but as an early reservation holder who is going with a Badlands anyway, I'm just going to still add my own wheels/35s and flares. Not waiting an extra 6 months.

Shouldn't a manual Badlands with Sasquatch package arrive earlier than a late 2021 delivery? It already has most of the Sasquatch stuff except for the lift and 35 inch wheels right?
Yup, makes no sense it is delayed 6 months. To quote Mr levine, "... targeted to be available in late 2021" That means it will probably be later that '21 at which it is a '22 for sure. I think that's their plan they just don't want to come out and say next model year it will be available.

I don't want the 2.3L. If they'd offered a manual with the 2.7L I'd have gone that direction. But they didn't and likely won't so I'll stick to my original path.
Well, that’s the next logical step. 2.7L with a stick!

In a couple of years, maybe, if ever. I'd think if they felt they could make the business case for it they'd have done so early on. Long before they went to Getrag and spec'd that 7-speed with only 400 ft-lbs of capacity. At this point, it may be prohibitively expensive to go back in and do so. The manual with the 2.3L and Sasquatch was a no-brainer. All the parts already existed just not in that configuration. Run the math, be pretty comfortable nothing will break by allowing them together and boom, good PR.

Before today, the plan was a Manual Badlands. The manual was more important than Sasquatch because we'd rather spend that money on nicer interior features. A Badlands no squatch is plenty capable rig for what we would do.

So, although I do strongly WANT the BadManSquatch, it will come down to the price adder - and our willingness to wait for a late 2021 delivery :(

If the sasquatch is > $1500 adder on a manual 2.3 Badlands, we're probably out. Rather take that money and put it towards a better interior package and slap 35s on the Badlands when the 33s wear out. I also don't want to receive my Bronco in late fall/winter 2021 when its 30 degrees outside and we can't take the top/doors off...
The delivery is the killer for me too. I could hold out until July, maybe August for one but October? Not when I can get the BL with a manual. My anxiety is already high without adding 4 more months.

I think I'm still good with manual BL and 33s, guess it all depends if B&P is close to the survey prices and I can stay on current budget.

I always wanted the 2.7 with the 10 Speed. It's a great combo. We have it in our 2019 F150.

I'm happy to see Ford listened and gave people the option.

For me it will come down to delivery time, I have 247000 miles on my 11 F150 EcoBoost. Was planning on spring or earlier summer to replace it.

So, if this revelation takes me from a BL to a BaseSquatch, all I'll be missing missing is swaybar disconnect and 2 GOAT modes. (Yes I know there are other things but that's all I'll be missing)

How important are GOAT modes on a manual? All of my previous 4x4's have had 2 drive modes, forwards and backwards. I know most of what they do is change shift points and adjust how throttle is applied, but I'll be controlling that in a manual. Do the modes even matter for me?

I really hope this mornings announcement doesn't mean that a Non-Sasquatch Badlands is also a late 2021 delivery. As much as I want a manual, I am really growing impatient.

The 6 month delay of getting a manual Black Diamond with Sasquatch is enough to push to me to Badlands without Sasquatch.

I am pleased, but the wait is probably going to be a problem for me.

I’d be tempted if it had a next generation 2.3 with direct and port injection.
